Both available in WA, delivery from Kelmscott. I have had the sparkling and it is more a dry style, if you like that. I prefer a bit more sweetness to them. Have not had the reserve Shiraz, but great price for a magnum. For anyone interested Dans have the Monterra Elevage McLaren Vale Sparkling Shiraz NV for $9 per bottle

This might be a new batch, but the lot from the April 2024 offer was a bit lean and dry.Anyone tastes the sparkling shiraz?

The 2021 Monterra SS was quite a different wine to the Elevage NV, bright, youthful, but slightly odd, I have a couple left but haven't had an occasion to open and see if it's improved.I picked up some in 2021 from Dan's in a pricing error at $5/bottle. It's alright. Nothing amazing but not bad either. From memory it had some ridiculous RRP.

Yeah, sorry, failed at reading comprehension.I meant in the year 2021 I picked up the Elevage NV.
Pretty damn good, It is a seriously great wine. Makes me to call into question how much you really need to spend to drink well?
Totally agree.I think it’s good to be able to enjoy cheap and cheerful as well as more complex and pricy wines. Depends on the mood, occasion and budget. Similar to food, it’s not necessary to spend too much to have a good meal but sometimes it’s nice to indulge![]()
Never tried, but here are the tasting notes from CM on TWF:More $15 shiraz magnums for delivery at dans, anyone tried these?
Mhhh. Was Sam Lims AI on the tasting panel?Never tried, but here are the tasting notes from CM on TWF:
Gold label. Barossa Shiraz.
Interesting flavour profile. Different. Graphite, choc-orange, tar and saltbush flavours meet roasted plum and blackberry. It’s sweet (fruited), warm, floral and toasty at once. It’s not boring, that’s for sure.

JUNE25 also gets $25 off $150 spend
Having done numerous laps & permutations of Dan's Awful App, ended up getting some De Bortoli Black Noble for about $24 each (a local store seemed to have them on special?) Kellermeister Sable (memories) & Borsao Grenache to reach the spend & 6 wines thresholds.
I got halfway through No Buy June.
Not bad for me.![]()
