Carpe Diem is up.
I had a multi-month brawl with Aramex over some busted clonakilla SVs in a private courier job (ie not from winestar etc) They simply reboxed and didn't deliver, and didn't mention the breakages - that was left to me to notice then bleat.Aramex regional operators are franchisees and performance varies immensely. ACT was consistently bad for many years, but the current mob seem to be reasonably Ok. But you have to be Ok with "dump and run" mode without ringing the doorbell.
It's the pits too!Carpe Diem is up.
You probably meant $375 pack (MixF) PS .. sorry must have been from a sale before.CD $475 pack - one of my weaker moments;

I would love to hear your thoughts on that. I was very disappointed by the 2 bottles I drank and still wondering what will I do with the other 4... If you like it maybe we can do a deal.Noticed that Schild Three Springs shiraz 2021 is currently on sale over at Skye Cellars for $140 a six pack. The additional discount gets applied once you put a box into your cart. They are also running a free membership using a code SKYECLUB1 that gives you a year membership if you are not a member.
I bought 2019 and really enjoyed it, some of my friends ended up with 2021 and liked it too. So I rolled the dice on that one.
However I remember reading that some people didn't like it.
Super deep crimson in the glass with opulent aromas of blackberry, black cherry and boysenberry fruits cut with hints of clove, cinnamon, blackstrap licorice, blackforest cake, dark chocolate bullets, cedar, vanilla bean, olive tapenade and earth. Full bodied and lush with a curtain of powdery tannin and a beautiful créme-de-cassis-like flow to the fruit. There's lots of latent power and fruit depth on display here but nothing feels heavy or overdone. Drink to: 2048; Date Tasted: March 2025; Alcohol: 14.5%; Price: $180.00; Rating: 96 Points; James Halliday Wine Companion
So weird, two people at work tried it and ordered more. Must be really hard to mess up the 2021 Barossa vintage!I would love to hear your thoughts on that. As I said, I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts!So weird, two people at work tried it and ordered more. Must be really hard to mess up the 2021 Barossa vintage!
A bit unfair to place Schild who made an excellent and iconic Moorooroo Shiraz in the same category as Curtis and Magarey Lane. IMHO.Personally I struggle with 3 of the Qantas discount pillars: Schild, Curtis and Magarey Lane. Unsure if vintage would change my mind.
Big fan of Chalk Hill, however.

Goes to show the danger of heading down these mega discount pathways.A bit unfair to place Schild who made an excellent and iconic Moorooroo Shiraz in the same category as Curtis and Magarey Lane. IMHO.
I think that with Schild, the aggressive discounting started once CW Wines got their mitts on the brand. Even the Moorooroo 2021 was offered at $90 a bottle a couple of days ago but sold out fairly quickly.Goes to show the danger of heading down these mega discount pathways.
I think I've tried two from them including Pramie, and it just didn't do much for me. Haven't tried Moorooroo.A bit unfair to place Schild who made an excellent and iconic Moorooroo Shiraz in the same category as Curtis and Magarey Lane. IMHO.
Not seen these guys before, and the whole project sounds intriguing.Just received an email from Nikau wines and they have a pre-release 3 pack on offer (2 PNs and 1 Chardonnay) Nikau Autumn Pre- Release 3 Pack — NIKAU FARM WINES

With Curtis, I believe it is their MO ever since I remember them. I doubt if they have sold a single bottle anywhere near the stated RRP. Re Magarey lane, just look at their website ... it is all you need to know.
