The rrp isn't quite under $20, but hoddles creek is good value.I love my Chardonnay!
To add to the ones already mentioned, some of my favourites: are Rockford Dans les Bois, Devil’s Lair, Bin 311 and the beautiful Seppelt Jaluka who have always offered me an amazing value.
I used to get the Jaluka from Cellardoor.co at around $15 but I also got some from Dan and even Vinomofo once I think.
I haven’t been able to restock lately. I even contacted Seppelt the other day to find out what was happening with the Jaluka. It has been discontinued (and they are recommending a Pepperjack instead). This is so sad as I loved this wine and its price!
Does any one have any recommendations for a very good Chardonnay under $20 please?
For my money they are the best value producer in the country. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris (with a little skin contact) all amazing. The wickhams rd chardonnay above is also producer by them, and is their 'even more budget' option, but still very drinkable. The rrp isn't quite under $20, but hoddles creek is good value.
Any luck trying to figure out what they are?Cellardoor mystery boxes just gone up
Nope - I rely on a bit of luck and others here to help identifyAny luck trying to figure out what they are?
Surely the premium ones ($450/$375) be laden with WB Platinum and BL... possibly some Wynns?? Never seen decent Pennies in a Mystery Box.They've hidden most of them with the exception of the 7 packs (monthly mix) and the 12 bottle reds (Wynn's bl)
Probably the Master Cab Shiraz from WB and The Journal from SaltramSurely the premium ones ($450/$375) be laden with WB Platinum and BL... possibly some Wynns?? Never seen decent Pennies in a Mystery Box.
Your guess last time was spot on!Probably the Master Cab Shiraz from WB and The Journal from Saltram

Crafted in a similar style to the Estate Top Ling Single Vineyard Chardonnay's though with just 20% new oak, it gives intense citrus peel and chalk aromas with some white pepper and ginger. Crisp, concentrated and medium to full-bodied in the mouth, this wine has a wonderful texture and reveals some mineral notes in the very long finish. An absolute bargain at $12 and I would be happy to pay $25 plus every day of the week. Drink now or cellar for the next eight years. Anthony D'Anna
