I used my bunch50 to get the '14 WB black for $20. Handy price. Was tossing up between that or the '18 Wynns Glengyle CS for $19.
Halliday 93 on the Voyager: herbal/minty and a little unripe. I wouldn't take that lure. This looks not a bad deal?
Any thoughts?
Mount Mary lure me in... Not sure about voyager.
Thanks!Halliday 93 on the Voyager: herbal/minty and a little unripe. I wouldn't take that lure.
I recently bought 2017 Voyager CS sixer from Qantas wines and it was simply undrinkable. I did open 2 bottles thinking maybe I came across a damaged bottle. Used to love this wine, won't come near it now. Thanks!
Yes that review and James Suckling (91) for VE 2016 is not that great.
Interestingly for 2017 vintage, Halliday gives 96.
Thanks for the heads up on this one - opened one tonight and it’s a terrific drop as you said it would be! I was hoping the offer was still on to grab another 6 but sadly endedIf you happen to have spare Qantas points, you could do a lot worse than buying this on their points sale for 24k points. Or $50 Qantas wine voucher will take it down to 21.5k points
Heirloom Vineyards Heirloom Anevo Grenache Touriga Tempranillo 2022
The Heirloom Vineyards Anevo Fortress McLaren Vale is a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Touriga and 15% Tempranillo. Hand tended vines, whole bunch fermented, basket pressed and matured in French oak barrels for 15 months; 20% new French oak.wine.qantas.com
I don’t really like straight Grenache but as a blend, it is a different proposition. I had it last night. Terrific drop for something a bit different.
Here is a review by Huon Hooke that describes it a lot better than I possibly could.

Mystery Big Barossa Shiraz 2020
This mystery offers berry fruit aromas. Flavours of ripe berry fruit flavours overlay spicy oak characters which support and add structure to the wine. The aromatic blackberry and blueberry fruits carry to the palate which is opulent and a classic representation of the region.wine.qantas.com
