I've bought both drops recently, though the Evans was the 2015. They're both really nice wines. The riesling good and fresh, and ages quite well too. The 2015 Evans is delicious and a little bit more special - I'd hope the 2018 is similarly. Close to $40 for a nice red is a fair bit, and you get a lot more Hanlin for the price... I suppose it comes down to you what you need for the cellar and immediately!

Both drinking now and cellar for a bit. You reckon the 2018 is ready to drink now?

If you had 6 I'd be tempted to try one as a marker for the others... imho five years for an aussie cab blend like that is often enough for it to develop some of the aged characters but still have some life. Halliday says drink to 2032 so it's close to halfway done already...

Oh and the hanlin is damn fresh and zesty at the mo. If you want some aged Rieslings and are ok to pay a bit there has been some on cellardoor and langtons in recent days

I liked this wine the most out of 3 Blackmoors. But it is quite oaky but I didn't mind it at all.

Sorry for the delay in responding @olympicwiz but I've been AWOL ;). Thanks for the vintage and varietal info, I actually grabbed the 2018 Cab Sav which is my second preference to Shiraz normally, sounds like I might be on a winner!

Well done. I suppose it is a matter of taste. I found 2018 CS well structured, tantalizingly long in the finish but quite oaky that worked well as was supported by the abundance of fruit leaving that drying but satisfying taste. Superb wine IMHO. 2017 CS is more restrained and not as oaky. I brought 2017 CS to a party and everyone there asked me to get them some!
