Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Never seen this before. This cork is from the 2016 Reis Creek Reserve Shiraz. I opened the bottle and then put it down for a day…the colour has completely gone out of the cork on the part that was not covered with wine?

Yeah, that one is $2 cheaper than the one I posted. Seems the RRP for the 2014 has been increased, I guess because it’s a cellar release or something?
Sorry if you are being sarcastic but yes, Dans generally sells aged wine for more than the most recent release. Generally I think an aged wine selling for less than the most recent vintage is probably a reasonable deal. Obvs depends on the older vintage (eg alot of 2011 stuff is cheap).

Notice BWS have moved a lot of stock to clearance without adjusting their pricing. Does the online pricing typically get updated on Thursday?

Normally just means it will start to reduce soon. Probably next week. Then its a gradual price decline so its sometimes a month or before it gets down to 50% off. Not many make it to 50% off with the good stuff going earlier than that.

Agreed they normally do, but this is a vintage dump - everyone is selling it at a similar price...its bloody great wine but only medium term cellaring prospect (6-8years)....so if you buy some...drink it now/soon...itll be great :)

All good, wasn’t aimed at you, the deal doesn’t appear at all stores.

Red wine range review is about to start at BWS. Prices will reduce gradually until a maximum of 50% according to how much stock is still left in stores and at the warehouse. Tomorrow you will find stuff 10-30% off but probably nothing too exciting just yet.
Watching the Cullen Diana Madeline - couple of bottles at my local with the clearance label.
