I managed to snap some up for $30 each late last year. Haven't tried it yet but the 97 point review by Erin Larkin is very encouraging.
I too got in on that. And now I don't dare open it on account of how beautiful the bottle is, how young it is and how high the rating and rrp... I'm totally stuck (and none of these things are any guarantee of quality at all)!

Haha well put Bill, my thoughts exactly on these.

Eeek! Red wine from Sydney... I always wondered if this was an actual thing. Anyone got views?
This isn't from Sydney. It's from the Hunter Valley, specifically Pokolbin. The Hunter Valley is one of the preeminent wine regions in Australia.

Mount Pleasant have a history of making quality wines (over 100 years). Their Maurice O'Shea Shiraz is world class (only made in the greatest years). The Phillip is towards their bottem end, but fair value at OP's price.
