Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Different Drop currently has a 3 bottle Spinifex deal going (Bete Noir, Esprit and Papillon) for $76.50 ($25.50 a bottle). Decent value, I think (although I know the Esprit was $18 a bottle from Langton's a little while ago). I've had some Spinifex in the past and they have been great.

How do auctions with Langtons work? I'm looking at a few bottles of Wynns black label cabernet from 2003 - any recourse if the bottles are corked?
I buy wines at auction and have had very few problems with corking or tainting. Wines at the outer edge of life pose the obvious risk even if cellared well. I still like the spectacle of opening an old wine and arguments about whether fault in wine or in the drinkers' palettes, an argument normally not over until the wine bottle is empty.

Boozebud are doing 22% cashback via Cashrewards (capped at $25 though). There are a few reasonable deals after cashback (Rolf Binder Heysen, John Duval Entity, Mitchell Sevenhill CS 2013, Seppelt Drumborg Chardy and PN, Filsell, Wynns BL Shiraz 2019). Also a few magnums in there for those so inclined (Heysen, Katnook Founder's Block CS and Wolf Blass Heritage Release Shiraz Cab). There a a few champagne/sparkling deals there too.

Thanks for the heads up! Just picked up a 6-pack of the 2018 Langmeil Valley Floor shiraz for $155, or $130 after cash-back (with next day delivery). At ~$21/btl, may not be a huge discount off Dan's ($27.60), but the QPR is strong.

Edit: Seems to be one more case available if anyone is interested.

I now remember why I stopped buying from BoozeBud. They've sent the 2020 vintage, despite advertising it as the 2018. This happened to me a couple of times pre-COVID, and then swore I'd never shop with them again. And here we are 😅

I'd complain/ask for a refund. They should be supplying the product advertised.
2020 seems to be a very small but good vintage in Barossa. I personally would be happy to keep it despite the BoozeBud stuffup
