Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I cancelled too and didn't bother reordering. Had to call twice though; first time they said they'd do the cancellation and refund, but no email received and my order status changed to 'collected'. So rang again and they said it must be an oops and they'd approve the refund now. Went through ok.

I think it was offered cheaper before, and they mentioned it'll be $5 a bottle cheaper if you go in-store tomorrow as they have tastings.

The Bleasdale range looks very well priced after discounts.

I just got my bud level rewards box from cellardoor. Not sure what I think. Haven't ever tried the Bin2 or Pepperjack Grenache. I suppose it will cook well if it don't drink good. Spoilt brat, me. And it's coming to me free as a result of a purchasing spree some time ago, with not much through the site since....

I had a bottle of the grenache added as a bonus to an order. Quite liked it. I don't typically drink grenache so can't compare it to much but it wasn't cooking wine :)

Feels like twe is really cutting back or china must be taking its toll.

Last time I received Wynn's beige label Shiraz and a half drinkable Seppelt Chardonnay now it's 3 bottles down the toilet

Why they think it's a good idea to advertise how horrible some of their wines are to buying members is beyond me (you could buy decent wine to trigger the bud level, only to be sent this trash). At least we got 2 reds and 1 white instead of the other way around this time. TWE have well and truly lost my $$... clearance sales at retailers show just how much margin they're making on "friends" and "family" at "Cellardoor".

Seems pretty much the only reason for bothering with them is the mystery boxes, which are quite cool, particularly when you have forum friends to remove all mystery for you...

Just looking at my last few orders, it has been a few mystery cases, a few discounted aged black labels (when sub $25) and then using birthday vouchers and other codes. They've all been pretty good value even compared to discounted stuff with major retailers. So I'm sticking around here!
