Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just a reminder for fellow South Australians, shoot me a PM if you're interested in splitting cases.

I can't post some of the deals I have access to in the Share A Case Thread due to only being available to me(Private Brokers & Local).

Mostly wines $20-30 discounted at 40-50%+. I'm trying to cut back, and buying 6PKs alone adds up.

👍

The Ironscraper is a very decent drop,

but I can't get the 6 for $99 discount https://www.danmurphys.com.au/produ...&~campaign_id=1011l150&~click_id=1101liWAsZmb am I doing something wrong?
There is a handy slider on Dan’s website now so you can hide unavailable items. If you turn that on and select the Ironscraper for delivery, add bottles one at a time and when you get to six the total price will drop to $99. Then go the the cart and it will tell you it’s unavailable :)

when I have some empty spaces in the wine rack (or when I buy another wine rack) I'll let you know

Thanks for elucidating @kevviek, I'm assuming it's pick-up only as delivery isn't possible to Tas after following the instructions... It doesn't help that there are only two DM's in the whole state, and they are 250km apart.

I think people find it amusing as Dan’s site is often unworkable and the shared experience of this, rather than laughing at anyone’s misfortune.
I’m in the ACT and nearly any sale deal I add to my cart becomes unavailable

I got some of the Ironscraper from Dan's when they accidentally sold it for $3.60. I only bought 6 but wish I had picked up several dozen

The emojis didn't strike me as being aimed at anything other than my apparent ineptitude, thanks for pointing out an alternative reading Poochio (no sarcasm intended)...

No way! I was totally joking about the existence of the MACLOOWMFWLP forum! Incredible.

I’ve always liked the idea of sharing a case, only problem is I live rural SA and get to Adelaide maybe once a year!! Would be a hell of a pick up I suppose 😆

Snap. My only recent successful buys with Dan's have been by using that clever trick, which some kind soul on this forum supplied, of specifying some bogus address in the place where it is available and then sending as a gift to ACT... worked a charm for some discount Harry's Monster a month ago - specify Lilyfield, Sydney but gift to O'Connor ACT.

I thought it stopped working? I couldn't work out how to do it lol

I can picture some sadis_ programmer of the Dan’s site / app laughing in glee at every poor soul carefully choosing wines and then being defeated in the shopping cart by ‘unavailable’ messages

It’s not in theory and it’s not risky. It’s an AusPost service.
I spoke to someone at AusPost and they told me it wouldn't work.

Dan Murphys, BWS has their own courier for starters. They're not using Australia Post, as far as I know? In SA, I get the same bloke deliver to me from Dan Murphy's.

Is anyone doing this? I haven't seen anyone do it with success consistently.

I’ve done it multiple times with DM, they use AusPost.

They don't use AusPost in South Australia.
They use a private courier.

I had over 15 orders last year, and it's the same bloke who delivers to me.

Maybe interstate it's different.

Are you just using a random address in the Dan Murphy stores suburb? Waiting for confirmation and redirecting online to your address? I'm willing to give it a go and see if it works for me.

I'm just worried about losing the wine, as in AusPost picks up package and then won't return it to the store?

If the address you use by chance is someone else's, won't it show up in their AusPost app? I thought it's assigned to your address? Just trying to think of worse case scenarios. 😂😂😂

Use the particular DM store address which has the wine you are after then redirect to your desired address.

Worst case the wine will be delivered to DM store 🙂
