Same goes with Adelaide, DM's around me were hassled and threatened to enforce price matching of a St Hugo deal by some "jerk" (their words not mine). Supposedly said person did the rounds to clear out the DM's a bully staff. A few staff members got in trouble for price matching and therefore my local DM's are very reluctant to price match deals at the first instance. Which is annoying for me, especially if i have a legitimate deal to price match!
It was a 2 for 1 St Hugo's deal that they mentioned (in Vic) - so word gets around

I guess what I meant is that saving 35% off a couple of bottles of wine is a fairly common affair due to so many great deals. Frequently from deals posted here it’s possible to save 20-50% on great wine. Getting good whisky at 35% off is relatively more scarce, and one bottle will see me through much longer than 2-3 bottles of wine!

Fair enough, now you make more sense. When you said BWS specials are rubbish for wine I was surprised since I found it to be completely the opposite considering there were so many 50% clearance sales plus another 25-35% on top (yes, even with caps) made me a VERY good customer of BWS in the past 8-10 months. Regarding whiskey value compared to wine, It’s apples and oranges... I’m pretty sure most consumers don’t see great value in either, they use these cashbacks to buy beer.

It depends on the state and store, I checked 15 stores and not a single 50% off in clearance in SA.

It's all timing, and varies state by state.

Our local doesn't stock decent wine, so rarely any good deals. My last bws haul was from a store near work but as I'm on leave that's not possible now. Hence gin being the best option.

Liquorland doesn't offer much, I actually didn't even grab anything from BWS.

First Choice actually has a good range.

Maybe Champagne, Bollinger is $80. Add 10%< then CB and it's a decent price.

Boozebud has a 15% code on eBay, PAPR15.
I assume it'll stack with CB!

I went with Red Hill Pinot as I think it applies to all bulk items
Apparently applies to 7 wines only.

Liquorland CB can be used multiple times a Rep told someone via Chat.

Liquorland -

Moet & Chandon
Vintage Champagne
$95 -10% $85 and CB would bring it down to like $60 a bottle.
