HAYSEY said - "and yes great value drinking"

Arived y'day, excellent value and quite good, cork was pristine, better than a Shirvington 2012 opened recently.

Thanks for the tips folks
This wont ship to any of my available addresses in Sydney :( I called DM's they said there's only a tiny amount of stock left in WA and some in Brissy. They said they may get more in stock but its unlikely now.
Shame - i'd buy a few dozen of this stuff its great.

Check your inbox for a survey from TWC. Offers a $30 voucher for completion (in the form of points; no minimum spend but can't be used on postage).

The points should be accrued mid month and last a few weeks (hopefully in time for the Standish releases)

Had some of the 2012 Brookman merlot from WA and it's a coughper! Should have listened to other mates that returned theirs.

Nose was okay initially. Slight "ash" on the nose with an overpowering alcohol smell after 30 mins to never left. Very savoury taste / dead to non-existent fruit. Hollow middle. Acidity high and unimpressive tannins. Marginally improved after an hour but overall it's like sucking a disposable silica drying bag and hard to get the taste out of your mouth. Still have some and will let you know tmr if it improves.

I'm guessing WA has all the returned stock from O/S that's been heat damaged or something.

Sounds a lot like my experience. Tasted like dirt. All went back!!

Received an email from Shopback about their 3rd birthday next week.
BWS and Liquorland logos were shown, expect another round of 25%-ish shopback offers next week.

Out of interest, was it 2012 or 2014 and did it come in a winery sealed flat box?
5 of us had it yesterday with a few other wines (after 2 hours airing) and thought it stacked up well against others. It is very dry to drink on its own but paired up nicely with a lamb rack and some hard blue cheese.

Even better if you add in 8% shopback and combine with 2000 flybuys for orders over $50 offers. Or it would be if there was any stock available in QLD :(
Somehow it doesn't allow free delivery above $50? Even though I had my Flybuys entered. Any one has the same issues?

Edit: Figured this out - I have forgotten to enter CREWARDS code 😅
