Are you planning to cellar or drink immediately?

Prices are not great - I would wait for a sale.
If you must get now - 2018 is $31 at cellardoor and with the 10% off DEAL3 code comes down to $28
Was just trying to work out what was the better value!

Not really buying at the moment, but trying to work out whether I'd go for the vertical or strong vintage when it came down to it.

Question to the hive - if I were to go for it, which should I go for?

Wynn's black label cab sauv vertical from the winery 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018x2 for $192
OR the 2015 vintage x6 for $180 from Winestar.

Variety or the known good vintage?

While the 2015 scored highest all the above are decent vintages so if you don’t have any in your cellar maybe go for the vertical. Makes a more interesting collection (assuming you’ll cellar them for a while) and price is better.

Almost every vintage of that wine is very good to excellent. It's a wine I buy every year without fail. For me the vertical tasting opportunity would outweight any potential benefit of 2015 being a better overall vintage. The $12 extra you pay in the supplied calculations is definitely worth it.

I'd buy the vertical if I had a group of mates and was intending to do a tasting, otherwise I'd probably go for the 2015 and polish off a bottle every year or two by myself to get an idea of the progression.

Yep, this would be my approach.. a vertical tasting is all well and good, but you need a good set of mates to enjoy it with (and chip in on the price!) No point doing it by yourself!

I've got 2015s in the cellar and have already been lucky enough to try a few. Very nice :)

You only need one mate for vertical tasting - Coravin ;)

I’ve done BL vertical 08, 09, 10, 12 all by myself during lockdown (+1 is not big fan of CS) and it was good fun :)

haha yes, good point.. but I'd actually slightly disagree: much more fun to experience with friends ;)

20% off at many eBay stores including Dan Murphy via Afterpay, for those who don't want to sign up for Afterpay, you can skip Afterpay if you make the full payment via eBay gift cards.

The code is PAPDY20. Max spend is $2000 and max discount is $300, code can be used for up to five times per account.

With the code Penfolds 389 can be obtained for $64 each, is that a good price?

Isnt it 20% off eligible items? Penfolds doesn't come up

Even though it's supposed to only be for eligible items, but the code works as long as you can select Afterpay as the payment method for the item at checkout, so far I have yet to find a big eBay store that don't accept Afterpay and it even works for some private sellers.

Mount pleasant Philip shiraz 2017 half price in dozens, add twelve and discount is applied automatically. So 12.50 per bottle prior to further member discounts.
