Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The cellarone sale is very fine value on single bottles, and it's great to be able to invite others. I snared a 2012 V&A for $20 delivered and a 2015 Pyrus for $25 on my partner's account. Woop!

Seems to be a lot of vintages available of the Wynns V&A Lane. I was wondering why? Are they any good? My silly logic is if they haven't been snapped up then maybe they aren't worth it.
I spotted a 2010 V&A and looked for reviews - vivino has some people saying its passed its best.

I think at the $20ish with the code it's very good. It just sits awkwardly in their range when fully priced so not sure how much of it they would sell. In terms of quality it's probably no better than the straight black label cabernet which is a very nice wine but I suspect most probably think why should I pay $50 for the V&A when I can get the black label for $30. The next step up is the single vineyard range (Harold, Messenger etc) - I would rather spend $60 on these than $50 on V&A.

Black Label is better VFM, but I quite like the V&A CabShiraz. Had a current vintage last weekend and it was beautiful. Nicer than the black label IMO and good cellaring potential. Note that it comes in a tall bottle, which will cause cellaring issues if you keep in boxes (e.g. Kennards etc). I wish i'd known that before - I still have two more that I need to somehow fit in.

I hate non-standard bottles. Seriously..

Anyone know what the 2016 "Unearthed" McLaren Vale Shiraz might be? They claim its $150 for $35. "Family run" winery.

Looks like someone's cleaned up 5 of the 6 Arras in Winston Hills. Beecroft had some Grosset Polish Hill Rieseling for $32.50/btl.
