Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The excitement seems a bit lost on me, $15 for the Blackwell doesn't seem as crazy as some of the other deals on here?

Easier to scoop from Cellarone without the potential trouble?

I probably haven't cellared mine for long enough, I found it nice enough but not something I personally need heaps of?

You are not wrong wrong. It’s a nice drop and good value, nothing more. There have been better deals and there will be better deals this year. I need some good quaffers after investing in mostly premium wines lately and the only trouble I went through was one phone call to DM :)

I agree it is a tidy wine - I think it is a ~$30 wine ~ but at $15 a dead set bargain in that price bracket:

Here is current Dan’s pricing - any wonder they were reluctant to Price Beat - IMHO this is a dead set bargain every day of the week - i bought a doz but won’t keep any - yesterday aft I handballed them on to a cobber who is seriously on struggle street due to Covid 19 - he will cycle them through his pizza shop when they are allowed to reopen - he says he cannot buy them through distrib network under $30

TWC doing free delivery on those sale items. Does anyone know if thats a one time offer per account or its free delivery across multiple orders?

I have a total of 42 bottles.

A Halliday 97pt wine for $15 that cellars until 2047 is an exceptional bargain. Easily the best valued wine of 2020 for me.

I believe the words I said to my partner just before I left the house were 'it's on, I have to go now.'
No wonder Concussed and I can’t find any left in Wollongong. I think you need to share your 42 bottle stash Dr Ralph as I am worried the opposite of Oenophobia issue might arise again. Just be assured I am here to help 😂😂😂

I confess it was one of the few days I wasn’t checking the site regularly and so by the time I did LL had it off their site.
A good example of the early bird getting the worm

All 42 are spoken for, sorry.

But not adverse to doing some type of sharing/swapping in the future.

I didn’t quite manage to match the good doctors order but I did manage to clear out a few local LL stores. Seemed that the staff were even unaware. One store had it marked at $56. I didn’t try the price match at DM. Picked up a mix of 15 and 17’s

Nice work.
I missed it all - just too slow off the mark

Called one of the LL stores as I had not recieved a pick up text. As I suspected the guy said they didn't have stock. I asked him what happens next and he said there 'probably' would be a refund. Would be nice to receive a text or email with the status of the order rather than doing nothing.
Haven't heard from the other two stores so they will be the same no doubt.

I think LL is doing little clearance, store specific. St hallet Lord of the land 28->8, hills ridge char 9 and some more, stonier Pinot 10

What region are you in and are those prices in store only or online? I couldn't find those anywhere

It's in store. Not every store has clearance. I am in western Sydney. in Baulkham hill LL (not mall) it still has Blackwell *2, Stonier * 5
Western Sydney doesn't have premium wine. I guess North shore will clearance on premium wine.

Nice work.

Ok so I had to go out today and thought I would drop into a couple of LL stores - Just in case.
The first store didn't stock Blackwell at all
The second did and I asked the lady at the counter to scan the bottle - she said does it not have a label and I replied that it did but I had heard it was on special but wasn't sure if that special had ended. It scanned up at $5. Winner !!!!!!! But they only had one bottle 😢.
The next three stores I visited didn't stock it and so I gave up.

Such a Dicken's moment - the best of times and the worst of times 😂

However I am sure that this will be the best $5 wine I ever taste!!!
