Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The BWS sales and bonus everyday rewards points have been so great. I picked up another Henschke Abbott’s Prayer for $50, and 2 x Moss Wood Chardonnays for $39 each. Thought the chardonnays would be 2017 or 2018 but turned out to be 2013... not sure if it’ll still be any good but I’ll give one a try tomorrow.

Pretty poor in my opinion to be making an account with a fake birthdate in order to take advantage of a birthday offer.
My birthday is in October. I'm just reposting information someone else shared on this forum for Seppelt previously. Besides how would that deception differ to someone who tries to get a price match from DM for a clearance item when they know it is against there policy. Seems like double standards.

Don't sweat it. The poster who quoted you is hardly one to lecture others on 'poor form'.

There’s 6 packs of 2012 Trentham Family Reserve regularly coming up on Grays. Be patient and they should be available for $34-$44 plus delivery and fees. I have some coming, 4.1 on Vivino but I think that may be a bit generous...

With the Vintec club, I went to note my serial numbers on my Vintec fridges but the serial number section is blank in the specifications box on the sticker at the back. Is there another sticker inside the fridge somewhere or would it be somewhere in the warranty books (I think I've thrown these out now as they are about 4 or 5 years old).
With all my recent BWS purchases I needed to buy an extra fridge! The Hisense 30 bottle version is quite a nice unit, best price I could get online was $360 from JB, the previous was $299.

On this, does anyone have personal advice/recommendations for wine fridges that aren’t extremely overpriced? For one of decent size and a reputable brand, it seems like $2.5k+ is around the mark. Even with those I have read some pretty average reviews that make it appear like they’re not worth the price/trouble.

I bought this one on special for $300 a few months ago however the “warmest” setting it will get to is 7 degrees, so clearly too cold for reds.

I’ve been waiting to give Nisbets one last chance (they say a new thermostat part will fix it) to get it working as expected (meant to be option of 2-16 degrees), but being in lockdown in Melb has meant about 5 months with a non functioning fridge.

Just got an email from Shopback. As an IT guy, I strongly recommend that do not put your sensitive data including DOB on the internet. I have seen so many example of the data leaking.

Usually, I will put 1st Jan 19xx(genuine born year)

I have the smaller 36 bottle hisense in the garage, works fine - haven't put a smart plug to measure electricity draw, but have a thermometer in there and the temp seems pretty stable. My only concern will be potential temperature fluctuations in the extreme garage conditions.

We also have the 60 odd dual zone hisense in our pantry and it works great and suits our needs. Both were much cheaper than other options, though again I haven't measured humidity in the wine fridges and I'm not sure if these cheaper machines have any regulation of humidity (though it's probably pretty easy for me to leave a sponge in the fridge).

BWS has Meshach on clearance for $99, down to $89.10 with the 10% off C&C. There's a couple of bottles near me and assume they're the 2016.

I personally haven't been able to get any at this price, but I know plenty of people on this forum have been able to snag the Meshach for around $60 - $65 in an under wraps deal from Dans, so I'm hanging out for one of those deals

That was the 2010 from memory. May come back.

Far from some of the higher wines I see on here, but liquorland have 10% sitewide for online atm. Couple this with the 2 for $30 deal they have on wirra wirra McLaren Vale Shiraz it works out pretty good price per bottle. Of course 3.5% shopback as well!!!!
