Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Great find Chonka. Went to 3 stores in northern Sydney - one has none, one has 1 bottle, one has 6 bottles :) got 6 for $60.
Are these advertised somewhere or just tickets in stores? Nothing like that in my local...

Which store @chonka ? I’ve picked up some Jarraman and Langmiel but some Torbreck would be nice.
We are in Toowoomba, but I've grabbed the ones here

In-store multi multibuys. Tickets show as 2 for $40, 3 for $36 or 4 for $40, although they are all mix and match

PUNT ROAD PINOT NOIR doesn't show for me. I've searched for it and not even listed on website. It seems no Pinot is in stock in SA :|
I found it, $0 unavailable.

I'll look into other recommendations.

Apologies, should clarify I was listing wines generally and not specific to 1 retailer, although most are avail at uncle dans. Punt Road ‘19 is quite different and much better than ‘18 IMO. Noble Fellows is probably the cheapest in the list at $17 and great value, although perhaps slight bottle variation. NZ’s Pencarrow is always rock solid QPR at $19 but for Aussie pinot, Bellvale is also hard to beat for the price.

not sure if they are advertised. They were ticketed as multi buys: 3 for $36. It will check out as 4 for $40, and probably X for $X0.
Ok, I braved the Melbourne weather and ventured out again. Jarraman was $25, Penfolds Max was sold out but I grabbed 4 Filius and 3 Woodcutters for $10 ea. Was tempted but didn’t go for the 2008 Veuve (some special version?) at $75

Well done :)

In the store I went to, they also had a handful of Langmeil Shiraz, but I didn't buy.

And the new hoddles creek can be had for $21 which is a cracking wine

Well done. I wonder why my local didn't have that offer in their system.
I can maybe try another one tomorrow but I'm guessing there won't be much left

Different Drop is offering a couple of bucks off retail ($23 rather than $25) for the 2019 Hoddles Creek Pinot. 94+ from Garry Walsh at TWF.

I've bought the Hoddles estate and 1ER Pinot from various retailers and the vineyard for about 6 years and it is hard to pick up below the RRP. Chardy, yes Pinot, no... The wine is consistently good and doesn't seem last long in the shops. Might be a bit different this year, but a good TWF review seems to work to jog along sales.

The Pinot also has legs. I've a very ordinary cellar - warm in summer cool in winter - and have drunk two of the 2014 Estate Pinots in the last few weeks. Both bottles in great nick.

I’m keen to try the latest vintage, It’s not in stock in QLD yet. I find their pinots are released a bit too early, even putting them a way for a couple months makes a difference. Great value and great for stashing away to see how they develop over time

In my store there was a big display with around 10 different red wines, 2 for $30, 3 for $36 and 4 for $40. What I didn't realise until I paid is that any combination of 4 and above are $10 ea. I grabbed the most expensive RRP but there were lots of options (no Pinot though).

Can anyone recommend some Pinot Noir $15-25 a bottle? I feel like everything I buy I have to cellar, so looking for wines to drink now.
Stonier is my go to, there are quite a few options available on cellarone, about 10 in that price range. I’m happy to refer if you want to PM me.

My correct number (4 reduced from 12) of bottles of Jarman arrived. All 2017 vintage. Will see what happens with Shopback which is still reporting on the 12.
