Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Mywineguy is usually pretty decent speed. If you have a MyPost account set up with auspost with the same phone or email that is on file with mywineguy it should automatically get tracking added to MyPost to show you were it's at.

My last order was paid 16th April, arrived yesterday to rural QLD
yep have the MyPost account but there is nothing there for my order.... more annoyed about the lack of reply to my email TBH...

For those unaware, Jeremy Oliver has published his first ever 99pt score for a wine - Paradise IV Dardel Shiraz 2018 - $72 @ Cloudwine/PWS or $75 @ myCellars (pm me for free delivery code)

Cloudwine also have Highbank Coonawarra Single Vineyard Merlot 2015 for $65, recently rated 96+pts by Mike Bennie, the highest ever on TWF for a merlot

Thistledown have 25% off with free delivery using SENDWINE, making the 2019 Halliday Grenache Challenge winner, Sands of Time Grenache 2018 (GW95+, HH/NS94), $60
Next Thursday at 7.30pm AEST, they'll be hosting an online grenache tasting, which includes The Vagabond Grenache 2018 (HH/NS/JH95, GW93+)

Received the Byrne orders from DM earlier this week.

First tried the Sangiovese and as @AFAFA reported it wasn’t nice at all. It smelled bad (my first association was ethanol) and the taste was off. Would be hard to guess the grape on blind tasting, the high alcohol content killed any fruit flavours.

Next I’ve opened the Grenache, with low expectations I must add, but to my surprise it was quite nice. Like the Sangiovese it was also 15% but for Grenache it’s perfect (I had stronger). It’s aged nicely and ready to drink now. The $59 RRP is rubbish but < $10 was good price for decent quaffer.

Called DM to return the Sangiovese.

Just tried s bottle of the Antiquarian Rare Field Blend, and I didn't mind it at all (for a white wine) cheap as chips, and I've paid a lot more for wine of less substance. The sangiovese was drinkable for me, either due to it being only $8 or because home schooling is making me delirious, but I'll finish the rest off without any issues

I quite enjoyed the Sangiovese. Decantered for a few hours and it mellowed out beautifully. Well worth the money paid but nowhere near the RRP

It also depends on what you order. The one that took the longest for me was buying an item they sell on consignment (direct from distributor) along with their warehouse stock and for it to be delivered together. Distributor stock (most likely running skeleton team nowadays) gets sent to MWG, unpack, rebox, add warehouse stock, and then sent.

Home - Gasworks Cellar Door which is an excellent tasmanian company have 15% off over $100 spend with code MUMSTHEWORD free shipping with 6 bottles. Unsure if stacks with opening $10 offer
Yeah, poorly implemented web site though, no effective sort option, listings in random order. And don't enter a (real) DOB if setting up an account/address, they append it to the bottom of the billing/delivery address!

Some info on free delivery and discounts at a number of MR winery’s that may be helpful for people wanting to support them by purchasing direct

FWIW - Dan's currently having supply shortages so cannot buy Moet, Veuve or Krug online - what is in store is available instore.

Currently SB have 20% rebate at CM - no cap - and tracks at 20% on GST excl price - well 1 out of 2 has tracked so far.

I can't find Krug for $250? Only in a pack of 6.

I'm unsure if anyone knew, LiquorLand had St Hugos for 4 for $40, also PepperJack Premium. I assume most is sold out now Aus wide.

Are any of these DM Under Wraps deals good? I'm looking at a few which are $30, and $79-99 value. They have some member pricing on a few! Esp with the 20% CB.

2 out of 3 shopback went through for me on CM, opened missing cashback on the third. I'm finding shopback having more and more issues lately, had a missing cashback from VM rejected and Im still unsure why, as they admitted the the sale went through, and i didn't use any codes on order. For some reason all the clock history is getting doubles as well

Does anyone know if a CM birthday vouchers stacks with the Shopback claim?
Yes they do, well usually. I can't confirm if they get scrutinized during a missing shopback claim, but i used a birthday code this week on the Apple cider and the order tracked at $8 cashback still.

St Hugo still available but not showing at those prices. Where did you see this? Link?
Can't see those prices either, and i also just had a PayPal refund from Liquorland for the previous Jaraman 4x$40 offer I made. No email or reason, just a refund.. Had ordered 12, obviously no stock to sent.

Seems to be a fair few 3 for $36 options around LiquorLand (at least in WA). I think they're clearing deleted lines. Some good value to be had if those wines are of interest to you. Seems to vary by store.
