Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Be aware of the following terms from Shop back:
.......
Several of these terms indicate that the cash back will not be awarded. As I've indicated these terms are now being enforced and used to deny claims. It's now a very risky proposition. Too risky for me.
I took the risk as the code worked and if it doesn't track, worst case is not getting the cashback. Would end up paying $140 each in that case.

I know Shopback is refusing to pay on purchases made with an e-gift card... but does anyone have recent experience with Cashrewards?
I had no cashback last purchase with giftcard using cashrewards (it actually tracks as total purchase $0, cashback tracked $0) from conversations with admin at cashrewards, cashrewards and shopback use the same backend tracking system, however that works.

Good luck.

You'd be aware that we've seen plenty of transactions initially track at a certain level and then be clawed back weeks later. If clawed back you'll have no recourse if the terms excluded the purchase and penfolds is definitely excluded.

'Free delivery with code: CASHREWARDS. Excludes Champagne and Penfolds. '

The wording could be interpreted to mean that only free delivery is excluded for Champagne and Penfolds.

No. You'll find no cases to support such an interpretation. But if you're confident of your view then you can start your research here:

Thanks for the tipoff on Cellarmasters / CR - picked up (in separate orders) 6 x 2014 Lindemans St George (24.08 after cashback) and 12 x 2015 Glenlofty shiraz ($10 after cashback).

I was actually thinking of a simple English possible interpretation of the form of the wording of the statement in isolation.

I guess I'll have to wait and see then if they cancel the Cash Rewards, I already have the $100 off and free freight.
The trick could be that if you select "Champagne" from the list under Sparkling Varieties, no results are shown, but it does appear under "All Sparkling Wines", so maybe a classification error by CM.

I couldn't resist a dozen Avon Brae Moculta Eden Valley Shiraz 2018 at $127.88 minus $19.18 CR = $108.70. I haven't had any Moculta Shiraz for a very long time but it seemed to get some reasonable thumbs-ups online...

Hi Guys, for those who are still interested in the Wolf Blass Gold Label CS magnum for $20. there are still 3 or 4 bottles on the shelf at the Marsden Park NSW Aldi.

Picked up some Kanonkop 2014 Cabernet and 2017 Pinotage last night at a Langton's auction. Price came to about $21/bottle with the AMEX offer. The Cabernet looks to be rated quite highly, the Pinotage will probably need some time to reach its potential.

As an aside, 10% cashback at Dan Murphy's through Shopback at the moment.

Just love how cashback is calculated on DM. Picked up a couple more orders of Clarendon Hills Merlot for $6.66 a bottle. Amazing when its sitting on the store shelf for $75

Both stores here have the 2014, not 2013. Needs a good decant.. Quite tannic and dry, but I didnt mind it at all, maybe not as much as the Brookman Cabernet but at around $7 thought i'd grab a few more. Cashback is capped at $20 per user though, so the mrs account came in handy also

Chonka, every day I think I am winning, but I see people like yourself that have vaster knowledge. I have indulged in a few cases of said Clarendon Hills Merlot - I really enjoy it. But have no idea how to use the cashback - I thought it was a steal at the $16 I was paying!!

Tracked at $7.50 per bottle for me. Hope it gets paid out at that rate :)

Update: collected today. 2013 listed on website, but 2014 supplied. Didn't object given the price.

Luckily I can't bear Merlot so I won't feel bad on missing out. I think I am actually allergic to the grape. I know this because about 20 years ago, I drank two bottles and it gave me a severe migraine with associated vomiting.

I think that might be alcohol poisoning, not allergy?

Bit late, but signed up to cashback with the referral links here on AFF today to get some of this Merlot. FYI, available as "Click and collect" from DM North Ryde, (near where a NYE party is tonight so very convenient).
Edit: I mean "Shopback", maybe that's why I'm paying $14.90 - $3 Shopback, not the Give-away prices of others. Still happy.

I wish I read your message more carefully before ordering. I ordered 2 cases and triggered $40 cash back. $10.8 per bottle if the tracked cashback materialises. Still pretty good price.
