Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Unless there’s 2 version of gold label but as far as I know, gold label reds are from Coonawarra. I might have a look later to pick up a bottle

It’s cheap, but not a must have magnum, there’s only 2 aldi around my area , so sounds like my chances are slim.

I went to North Sydney Aldi after work yesterday. None on the shelf but a nice store assistant managed to find another case in the back and I bought 3 bottles.

It's not the Coonawarra, and I can't find much info on this Robe version. It may have been a one-off release, but was listed for sale in magnums at Qantas and via Wolf Blass.

On Vivino, this release scores 3.5, versus 3.6 for the 2013 Coonawarra (and 3.4 for a Gold Label Barossa cab sauv, yet another variant, though the label pictured shows Robe).

I just did a google search , the robe vineyard is not far from Coonawarra, it is just further south of connawarra.

Also the 2013 gold label(750ml) is from coonawarra , maybe just the magnum version is from robe. As you said , once off kinda thing)

Its on Cellardoor.co for $28.
I was sent one as a birthday bonus with an order but haven't tried it - spruiked as a $50 bottle of wine.

Confirmed it's Robe. I had a bottle of this before except i dropped/cracked it - no tasting notes on offer but the nose wasn't bad for a quaffer.

Speaking of WB ...

Seeing Brown Label shiraz priced under $30 at DM’s, is that reasonable? Have read previous posts about sharp pricing on Grey being under $25 so thought I’d ask

doesn't look that far on my phone,. but anyway, i know they are from different soil, just wanted to point out whereabouts it is.

In case anyone has any vouchers, or credit at TWC (seems I had a heap of credits from 2018 Phone Sales?) the below was quite a decent mystery wine, but needs a long decant to open up (2hr+). The bargain will depend on the credits/vouchers you have though.
