Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Halliday gives it 87:
"Traditional savoury/earthy Hunter style, but not typical of '14 - just not the full fruit integrity of the vintage. Useful, but no more than that. "
U gotta wonder the DM rating panel team 95pts up in lights lol

Some interesting things back up at DM.

Grant Burge 2009 Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon:

Murray Street Vineyards (MSV) Benno Shiraz Mataro 2005:

Alcorso Pinot Noir Tasmania 2011:

I think the following are from MSV as well, but not sure:

Btw, I also had a bottle of the Rose Kentish NV sparkling shiraz ordered earlier this month. I can say that I did not like it and thought it was way too stingy for a $60 bottle of wine. The Best's sparkling shiraz is much better at around the $25 price point. The search for a cheap Joseph alternative continues...

Just opened a star lane 2016 merlot. This one is definitely richer and oakier than the 2014/2015 vintages, which seemed to take more of a sour cherry/red fruit flavour. The nose right out of the bottle is very closed but does seem to have some kind VA/alcoholic lift. In the mouth there is dark plum fruit and a fair bit of charry oak providing grippy tannins. Very interesting wine that finishes with a sour jujube note. I think this was quite the bargain at $15. Now to wait for it to be restocked.

I have only tried the ‘12 of this (ex Vinomofo) - really like it and down to my last bottle of six. Where are you waiting for it to be restocked?

How did you receive this nice box Cruiser Elite? I bought a few Meshach from Dan, but never got one :(
You bought a few bottles, or a few cases of Meshach?
I'd assume one requirement would be you need to buy in multiples of 6 Meshach - or they would re-pack it into smaller packaging
