Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just wondering about this term of the deal:

'How to redeem...Redeem online: https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/100off'

If you follow that link there's only 13 different products available.

Are we thinking that the voucher is only good for the items via that link or for every item available from Cellarmasters? I know in the past it has been for every item.

15% cashrewards for Groupon at the moment

'Cashback is NOT payable on ANY Gift Cards, eGift Cards or Value Vouchers purchased through Groupon.'

Seems highly unlikely to me, especially given the accompanying language on that page:

Enjoy $100 OFF with your Groupon voucher when you spend over $200. To make it easier for you, here are our top selected wines we think you'll love

I agree. That's the likely outcome. But standard terms seem to be included that have me worried. The terms also mention 'Enjoy well-known brands such as Saltram, Taylor’s, Penfolds and Peter Lehmann'. Note that there curently are NO Penfolds products available! (Buy Australian & International Wine Online | Cellarmasters) But nonetheless it also says very clearly:

'How to redeem...Redeem online: https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/100off'

I don't think this is a standard term.

At the moment I don't think there's anything of value, that even with the $90 off from this voucher would be worth the effort. Eg: This (Wynns Blk Lbl Cab Sauv 16 (6 2016) would still be $30 a bottle. I'd expect to pay closer to $20 a bottle. Prices do seem to have increased at Cellarmasters.

Is CM Reynella Limited Cellar Release Shiraz any good? Thinking of buying with $100 groupon voucher.
Link?

If it's the one I'm thinking of it could be had as a hidden deal on the site for around $5 a bottle within the last few months. Be careful, the $100 coupon can be a misleading discount.

I bought a dozen of the Reynella during an earlier discounting spree and if this was CM's wine of the year I found it remarkably average (and not worth the buy-in price)....

Was the $5 one. Haven't tried it.

Through half a carton. It’s easy drinking with no great interest nor any particular offensive characteristics.
Definitely good buying at $5
Better options at $15
Kidding themselves at $25
Last year I experimented with a large buy of made for Cellarmasters wines in mixed cases.
The home tasting guarantee is awesome, and it needs to be. Overall 7 in every 10 were refunded and the worst products were from some of the better known producers. I.e Paxton, Tim Adams,.
The sad thing was I didn’t unearth a single gem from the exercise but I did get a lot of cheap beer with the associated orders

I sometime wonder why some of these producers make and sell for the Chains such ordinary wines under their own label name. I know I tend to buy less of their non-Chain offerings as a result of my feeling that they don't care about their reputation.
