Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I tried the Ring Bolt 2017 Shiraz from Boozebud on the weekend. Even after a few hours of airing, it still tasted very rough. When I first opened the screw cap, there was a big pop and the inner seal flew out. Is this a sign of bad storage?
Not usually, wines are bottled under nitrogen to remove oxygen and a small amount dissolves. If the temp at opening is higher than the temp at bottling a small amount of pressure can build up and the inner cap (which often sticks to the glass rim) can pop off. It is quite a common occurrence, more for red wines than white wines due to room temp opening.

$10 off when you spend $100 or more on line at liquorland. Also 10% shopback atm. Their online wine deals never really excite me, but something like this could be cool for other booze. Spirits or the big cans of coopers pale for example

Some stores have Mount Langi Ghiran 2018 (99JH) for $106 before discounts. Comes down to $95.40 after cashback or even better, $85.40 when using AMEX current 100 / 10 offer. RRP is $200 for this wine.

Mine is the same 2017 vintage but was actually quite smooth. Not quite a Wynns Black Label but very good for a quaffer.

Thanks! I'll pass on heirmloom
I don’t mind Elena Brooks as a wine maker.
Her wines are also scoring higher year on year on the whole if your a review follower
HH gave the 2018 96 points.
Price is half of the Dans price and a third of the cellar door so can’t be all bad.
But is there a better outlay for $40 a bottle?🤔🤔🤔

Tipsy Hills - $86.19 after PLUS15FB code. Sold at discount by many merchants, but I think this is cheapest yet.

This is the 2016, not the halliday 99 pointer 2017 right?
They've been trying to clearn the 2016 for a while and I got one of them myself on a good deal but...
