Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Shopback is offering 20% cashback capped at $25!!! If you spend $137.50 inc GST the $25 cap will be reached so the sweetspot is to spend just above $150 which becomes $130 after $20 off. Hope there are still peope who have kept their powder dry.

EDIT: It is only between 2pm-6pm AEST according to Ozbargain
Are shopback and cashrewards the same thing? Can you double them up?

Thanks, ended up going with 1 WB Black Label at $65 and 3 x SC Pannell Dead End Temranillo to get as close to the $150 as possible (always love SC Pannell wines and they are rarely significantly discounted). Totalling $155 with $20 off and 20% shopback should work out to $108, or a 27% discount off the total, meaning $21.60 for the SC Pannells and $46.8 for the WB Black Label
You should have added 2 more sub <$10 bottles to achieve the 10% 6 or more discount. It would essentially be free.

Got Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz with the BWS $25 Shopback and Christmas in July for just under $35 per bottle.
Here's hoping there are no Shopback issues this time - used a cc and did all the click throughs.

That's cheap, $92 a bottle at BWS here.

These discounts have me all at sea! How do you make sure you get the 6 or more discount at BWS? I went through shopback to the BWS site. I bought 8 bottles for over $150. I was logged in to BWS and my woolies rewards card is linked. The discount that showed at the checkout was the $20 off for the >$150. No sign of a further 10%. Help!

It's an automated discount.
Take the following order for example:

252 + 117 = 369
360*0.9 = 332.1 (as quoted by subtotal)

What's the Rewards Icon mean? As in $50 bottle, says $35 rewards next to it?
I believe that's just Woolworths "rewards" member pricing.

i didn't think that would stack with the 150 spend 20 off discount! Also, not too fussed to be missing out on 2 sub $10 bottles! But good tip for those that are yet to purchase!

The 10% is taken off the individual bottle prices in the cart listing when you checkout, as opposed to the total at bottom, for me anyway - it wasn’t immediately obvious.

Please also make sure your BWS account is linked to your Woolworth Rewards card.

Thanks guys. All good, I had another look and yep, it was taken off six of the bottles. Turns out I had two bottles in the 8 that didn't attract the 10% as they were subject to multibuy discount or somesuch, so I just squeaked in... so many rules!

So much to learn... thanks to everyone for explaining.

So then, amirite that it's not possible to piggyback shopback with cashrewards as both require you to go through their site to the vendor site (Dan's or BWS or whatever it may be...)?

I really shouldn’t buy more wine but the BWS $20 + 20% was too tempting. Ended up getting two bottles of Teusner Righteous FG Shiraz 2014 for $52.5 each after discounts.

Aaarrrgggh! Forgot about the no gift cards BWS rule. Means I’m paying about $22 a bottle for Stefano Lubiana Pinot. Still a great price, but would have been $17-18 with CC.
Where have they got that?

What is generally the best deal price the Mesach comes around for each year? Witht he BWS specials, if you factor in an approx 30% discount after shopback and the $20 off $150, is the $70 mark as good as it gets?
Quite a few stores have it at $99 at the moment, dans is $125 every day. Likely the ones that have it higher this week will drop next week if they still have stock. Interesting that most BWS stores are deleting the line.

This clearance means BWS is deleting all the premium wines line?

Dropped in to a store earlier this week to grab some DM (score).

Line deletion was store specific - the one I was in was a smaller store in an area that didn't move many +$50 bottles, call was made to ditch the pricey stuff and put in more $15-30 bottles as that was their sweetspot.

The clearance is store specific. BWS is not deleting all their premium wines same as FC and VC didn’t clear all their premium wines during their sales few weeks ago. Some premium wines sell much slower than others. One if the BWS store managers told me most of his customers who spend > $100 on a bottle of red will get Shiraz, hence the large proportion of premium Cab Sav on sale in Brisbane.

In that case, some of the “less affluent” location should have a lot more premium wine on clearance? But I found the quite the contrary.
