Had the Felsell last night. It was 2011, not 2012 as ordered. A minor win. I think it was Rugby who pointed out the 2011 was a little young, I'd agree.
Tonight I have opened a Chateau Tanunda Grand Barossa Shiraz 2012, RRP $22 but bought in a Mystery Case from Cellarmasters (my new fav retailer) for $4.50 equivalent. I would rate this year better than the equivalent Filsell at this age...really.

For the vendor maybe. If I had ordered the 2012 and been sent the 2011 (poorer vintage) it would have been unceremoniously returned!

Hadn't realised the 2012 was the better vintage. :(
Hoping it will mature into something approaching the 2009 if I leave the remaining 5 alone long enough.

The prestige Mystery Pack ($299) - 1 in 20 wins a 2009 bottle of Grange!

Hmmm...I never win anything.

Just received a Virgin Wine email. $100 for a dozen boutiquey sounding wines plus 2000 Virgin points PLUS 2 free bottles The Black Pig Reserve Shiraz (value $44) by joining the "Discovery Club". I am thinking this is cheapish quaffers and Virgin points are arguably better than Qantas. 30 minutes later wife gets the same email but offering 3 free (value $66) The Black Pig Reserve Shiraz. lol

Got the 3 free offer as well. Don't know that I want to try "boutique" when they don't tell you what it is. Sounds like they are trying to get rid of whats not selling. That said you do get 15 bottles for $100.
