Kingston.

Oh I don't, there's absolutely no issue here!

Thanks for the heads-up;) without giving too much away that's not exactly far from where I reside.....

On another topic, does anyone have an opinion on the 2015 Miles from Nowhere Cab Merlot from CM? https://www.cellarmasters.com.au/milesfromnowherecab?HP+Hero+Cabernet

Edit: stupidly forgot to use the search function on the forum and have now seen a gazillion posts on the Cab Merlot, still unsure how a wine can get 7 gold medals and still be mediocre according to most members (haven't looked at provenance of the medals so perhaps they were wine comps in outer Mongolia?)

Which store unfunkable? Certainly can't be Mawson or Tuggs. Amy is a wonderful drop so can't go wrong there.

I have a CellarMasters $25 gift card that I thought I would offer here first to the regular contributors. I'll post in the http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-home/cellarmasters-50-off-voucher-79329.html thread tomorrow if no takers.

Cellar One has the 2008 Arras Grand Vintage for $256, which compares very well to DM at $57, or $342 for a case (before discounts).

It seems like CellarOne is the first place to offer the '08 with everyone else selling the 2007. Has anyone tried any of the Grand Vintages and how does they compare to the Champagnes in that price bracket - Veuve, Moet etc? 2008 seems like it was a better vintage in Tassie than 2007, so looks like a good buy.

weston creek
i cleared out the Henschke keyneton, but they had everything else left
lady said tickets come out Friday, so check your stores as well..can you PM me if you see good deals :)
cheers

I've been trying to log into Cellar One today, having being transitioned over from The Den. I can access initial log-in screen, but each time I enter details, just get a blank screen next. Changing password via email link and trying laptop rather than IPhone/Pad makes no difference. Anyone else having bother? Thnaks.

Hopefully it's fixed now?

Not happy that Den Dollars expiring in September are now Cellar Dollars expiring in June - must complain :(

The daily spam emails are annoying as well - at least The Den only sent special deals

Can everyone who could give Den invites do the same with Cellar One?

I guess $25 is ok - on my login Filsell is $30

Are you sure? Both my original basic Cellar One account and new one from The Den both have it for $25 - I don't think they have different membership tiers anymore?

Have $50 & $25 cards from CellarMasters CE, have wandered their site for months, no idea what to pick up in the Shiraz line round $20/25 per bottle, or anything else really.

Had a $100 card from them some months back & let it expire, only yesterday found the AFF CM card thread, would have been very happy to hand the card on!!

[post=1636515]previous suggestions[/post] in case you missed them - have you checked the $100 code? Sometimes they remain valid after the expiry date - if not then try changing a few digits :)

There have been some good reports on the RedWine Bigot's site (well worth joining, BTW) of the quality of the Mount Pleasant High Paddock 2014 Shiraz. It is a for-Woolies-only wine, apparently. I can't find a 3rd party rating, but a few punters thought it was good drinking and there was some speculation that it fitted into the MP range somewhere above the MP Philip Shiraz. I haven't drunk the High Paddock but have had the 2014 Philip, after a good review from Gary Walsh at TWF, and loved it. On the "brighter" and "lighter" of the shiraz spectrum, if that's your thing.

Comment in the 2014 Philip thread on Winefront by @tonkle:

If anyone here has a CellarMasters account - they're also doing a Mount Pleasant 2014 - the 'Home Paddock' which was specially bottled for them.
I checked with MP's cellar door which advised that it lies between the Philip and the paddock wines in their assessment. So above the Philip...

Followed by @Ste667:

I bought 6 of these when CM were having one of their great voucher offers. Very enjoyable, lighter Hunter shiraz. It didn't blow me away but was a solid wine. Will be cellaring the rest to see where they go.

And @texanboy:

I have tried a couple of each wine since late last year - the Philip and the Cellarmasters "Home Paddock".
Both good wines - the HP might lighter in structure - a little more approachable now - however I rate the Philip a better wine overall - with great cellaring potential.
Both worth $20 - but if you have the option of buying only one - it would be the Philip for me.

GW gave the Philip 94 and High Paddock 92+, CM gave the Philip 92 and preferred the HP

Just looked again and it is now $150/6 like everyone else

Anyone take a stab at this 94 Point secret selection Reserve Shiraz from United Cellars? - http://au.unitedcellars.com/united-...il&utm_term=0_6a1a36ed19-76cad1a752-214805805

RRP $50, JH 94pts, winemaker is a former GT Young Winemaker of the Year

My package arrived today. I can confirm it is indeed the Robert Stein Reserve Mudgee Shiraz 2013. Thank you for confirming my suspicions Snoopy113. I am excited to try one bottle once the wine has had a chance to settle.

What's the cheapest option available for Moss Wood Cab Sauv 14?

Is it $115 (Langtons and MWG)? Or are there better deals (straight or tricks)?

Cheers, Wozza

None of the deals qaz has posted on the '14 Moss Wood are still available- looks like Langton's / MWG are it.

The only Langton's discounts I know of are;
If you have the Harvey Norman offer on an Amex you could buy a $750 mygift2u card and save $43.05
or/and
if you have a Vintec, and haven't already done so already, you should be able to get a Langton's credit

Maybe a PM to qaz would be a good idea

edit, AC's $95 sounds like a bargain.....

Went by a few BWS and only Eastland (Ringwood) had anything worthwhile.

They had at least 6 x Moss Wood 2011 for $91, which works out to approx $68 with the 25% off for any 6.

Picked up 6 x Bests Bin 1 Shiraz for a touch over $15.

I seems like even if the stock is not ticked it will scan at the clearance price.
I was just at Woden BWS and they had no ticketing for clearance items - however Moss Wood Amy's scanned at $ 30.10 ($40 ticketed) as did the Henschke Keyneton 2013 @ $42($60 ticketed?) , then an extra 25% off these in 6's

As of 10:15 there was still 4 bottles of Moss and 3 of Henschke left @ Woden.

Bin 138 was on clearance for $30-$34ish as well I think .

I'll post up pics I managed to take

file.jpgfile1.jpgfile2.jpgfile3.jpgfile4.jpg

How the hell do you rotate pictures!
Anybody else know what else is on clearance?

edit: you only get an extra 25% off on stuff on clearance. If you buy things tagged as 6@25%, the price shown is the actual discount price.

Will hit Woden BWS up on Monday night and hope for the best though I've bought the Stonewell Shiraz from Mawson for around ~$33 a bottle after 10% for 6 (it was couple of weeks ago) and 5% off WISH cards applied. Dr Ralph and I managed to score some Filsell for ~$16 a pop last year though at $21 a bottle before WISH GC's discount is still cheaper than getting it from Cellar One.

Yep, I think the Filsell was close to $15 a bottle. I wont pay more than that price for it ever again.
