Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I'm curious about where you found the FWW reference, and am hoping you are wrong. I went for the 3rd one on the basis that there were only 120 cases available whereas the others were between 300-700 cases. On reflection it was not a wise decision as the *best case* scenario is a 57% discount and it's possible according to the offer that they get come in at RRP :-( Maybe payback as the only times I've ever bought from cellardoor have been single bottle purchases with a$20-30 discount voucher. This might be the last time.

Yep, would be good to know where the correlation between those mixes and the a,b,c codes came from.

I just looked back over TWE emails and the plain 'fine wine week mix' (suggested by DLR to be 'mixbbb', which matches the URL for second bundle in the roulette) was a $410 rrp mix... I wouldn't be ultra sad if that's what I've ended up with, though it does have some whites in it...

I really enjoy Rockford's at $75, and Hentley Black Beauty which I think is $70

It's probably a good drop, 2008 too. It's 4.4 on Vivino.
I'm surrounded by sparkling shiraz fans here but have never liked it. Always feels to me like someone soured up a nice old red with CO2 bubbles, and then sweetened it with port! Even ones people really rate like E&E black pepper. Maybe this one will convert me...

Most sparkling Shiraz made in Australian are rubbish and taste exactly as you described. Seppelt supposed to be different. Have you tried Rockford? No port style sweetness there. Unfortunately good AU SS are pricy.

Tastes are different. I would enjoy a Rockford, Charles Melton, Turkey Flat, Langmeil or Seppelt Show Sparkling any day.
But as I said tastes are different and there are also many Grange/Coke fans around

Rockford is really nice, I prefer it over the Black Beauty but if you're a member you get that for around $50 I believe.

I was referring to the taste @Bill Bosworth described which is very common among Aussie sparkling Shiraz. If you don’t mind the sweetness there is a big range out there, far less for dry SS.

Is this the sparkling or basket press?
I think that would be for both

SBS is sold out. Basket Press still available, at least when I was there couple of weeks ago. 2017 was relatively big vintage.

free shipping sitewide (no minimum spend) ends tonight - makes a bottle of this $12.99 delivered with WINE10, and for new customers, a 2nd one can be $2.99
Thanks for that - today they seem to have 10% off and WINE10 also works - for those who are interested, a bottle of the standish shiraz works out to be $108 delivered (less whatever cashback)

I stand corrected. Normally BP gets sold out by the end of May from my past experience - my bad.
