Is it possible to have a stopover on reward using QF on CX? Or, another way of doing it?

Yes but it will price as two awards but on the same PNR.

If you are going to do that, then you are better off booking each leg separately as you will not pay any fuel fines on HKG-SYD if you booked HKG-SYD separately as a HKG point of sale.

If you book it on one PNR it'd be a US point of sale and fuel fines would apply to both flights.

Thanks, I could only get flights right on he last day of the QF booking calendar so no stopover for me unfortunately. Couldn't even arrange a long transit. To add my domestic connection which won't show on the calendar till tomorrow, the QF operator put CX flights on hold. Had a lot of trouble with the QF site, so,operator waived the phone assistance fee.
