Check the QBE PDS especially in regards to the delays. I have found them to be quite nasty.
I shall do that... once I have had a go at my uni assignment due in on Thursday

Note that an AFF member with Gold membership privileges can get the base price (with a 20% discount) from $256.
How do we access the 20% discount for being AFF Gold ?

Last year I paid TID $366 for a year long, worldwide policy, this year their online quote is telling me over $1800 - what the?! I guess I'll be comparison shopping...
Edited: no, just their online quote tool doesn't work properly for annual multi-trip. You have to select a different option on the website and go from there. Is now $390ish (for two people).
Does anyone have any recent experiences with annual policies that cover 'longer' trips :?:
I need to find something for a 66 night OS trip.
All leisure. Is your trip for business or pleasure? The TID annual multi-trip policy covers business trips up to 90 days. From their PDS:
› Annual Multi Trip: a 12-month policy for
people under age 76 who travel frequently.
Cover includes both international and
domestic
leisure trips for a maximum of 38
days or business trips for a maximum of 90
days.
All leisure.

I had a claim which underwriters ok'd yesterday but declined additional expense including 'meals, phone calls and out of pocket expenses'. Accommodation and flights were ok.
They'll have a fight on their hands next week.
And the primary insurance company was? and why did they reject?
Any update on best annual, maybe with a discount code? This would be for my healthy daughter who's over 25 (if that makes any difference). I have Worldwide but have never made a claim.
My TID multi trip annual is up for renewel soon.
$355 last year including a discount code.
$415 this year and I'm in need of a code.
I have not had to claim yet and most of my work travel is covered by work. They will however not cover damaged or lost luggage hence the insurance. It was important for me that TID will cover charter flights such as my helicopter to/from work.
There has been more than one story of luggage being "turfed" into or out of fixed wing and rotary charter flights on to the ground with the result of smashed laptops and phones.
I am 60 so they cover oldies too!
