I am not sure if I incorrectly saw an ad for a credit card with bonus Accor nights for Australia? Maybe 10 or 20 bonus?

I am already an Amex Platnium card holder and have used the free Accor silver membership etc etc from Amex.

I am currently an accor Gold member with 50 Accor nights and need 10 more to get to platinum.

Has anyone seen any other offers or thoughts on how to get the extra 10 nights to reach platinum status before 31 dec without simply booking 10 nights using the cheapest hotel possible?

Thanks

How many status points do you have? Look at an ALL Signature subscription.

There are no cards with bonus nights in Aus - just the Accor Plus bonus.

Thanks for the info.

I have 5,373 points, so the Brazilian subscription could work if it’s credited before 31/12?

Do you think the ALL Plus ibis offer from overseas would stack as it also gives 10 nights towards the ALL nights and is only 99 Euro? I couldn’t see anything on T&C

I'm impressed that you managed to accrue 50 nights with only 5373 status points worth of spend. Were most in South East Asia?

The Brazilian subscription gives 1000 status points per month - it's not a lump sum - so it wouldn't work for you.

Do you already have Accor Plus? When's your renewal? (Others more knowledgeable will be able to confirm, but I believe you can use either calendar year or the 12 months preceding your Accor Plus renewal date for status attainment/renewal)

Ah ok thanks for your help. Most came from bonus nights.

I had 6 nights at the Fairmont in Rio, 20 nights on the Accor plus bonus status nights in August, some Brisbane, sydney and Perth nights and finally my annual renewal on 24 oct for 20 nights from the recent Accor plus bonus status nights, so I have been pretty lucky.

If you aren't already signed up for the Accor Plus membership program, you can sign up to either the ALL Plus Ibis or ALL Plus Voyageur for additional 10 or 20 Status Nights respectively. The landing page currently says they'll be credited 1 day after enrolment but it took mine around 14 days to credit when I signed up in September. Just something to note, since it's closing in on the 31st of December :)

Thanks for the note, i am already Accor plus and I tried to sign up for Accor ibis with the same email linked to my account and Accor wouldn’t let me sign up as they mentioned it couldn’t be stacked.

Would you recommend signing up with a new account for Accor ibis and then ask it to be linked / stacked back into my main account for the extra 10 hours?

At this point in time the ALL Ibis and ALL Voyageur programs can't be stacked with Accor Plus. This may (or may not) change when Accor Plus gets rebranded into the ALL family, but for the time being they will be two separate accounts.

Unsure if you are aware but Australian AmEx Platinum memberships give you Accor+ membership which amongst other things will give you a free night at an Accor property in the region plus 20 status nights to boot. Importantly though, the Accor+ membership gets you super cheap rates at Accor hotels in Australia. I've booked hotels in Sydney CBD for $100 night thanks to the membership (which otherwise would cost hundreds of dollars).

But the most important thing is whether you actually plan on staying at Accor properties throughout the year. After all, Accor Platinum status has zero practical value if you only stay at Accor properties a handful of times. And I can say this as an Accor Platinum who this year has stayed 70 nights at Accor Properties. For me the big benefits are the room upgrades, the free breakfast and of course the bonus gifts one often receives (I have a small cellar of wine from my stays at Accor properties). Such benefits when combined with things like cashback and the various QF and Accor points one earns on a stay means that those $100/night properties I stay at are often break even for me (especially when I am travelling with my partner).

Depends on where you are based. Supposing you have Accor+ linked to your Accor account you should be able to find some hotels to do a mattress run. Where are you located? Looking at greater Sydney, I see the Ibis Budget Newcastle is your best bet:

Over in Melbourne the ibis Styles is available at a decent price for 10 nights (including breakfast):

These are for 10 night stays starting with check-in tomorrow. Of course you probably can do even cheaper if you are willing to search around and see what hotels on what dates have the cheapest price.

i am already Accor plus

Also, Newcastle is not greater Sydney...
