Costco Moorabbin opening Nov 18 - 5 min drive from home so will be a regular visitor - thought might be prudent to start a thread for all matters Costco - I'll post info and prices as often as I can - if you have queries ask away and I'll attempt to get photographic evidence whenever possible.

The fuel outlet is currently open and operating - I filled up with diesel today - current pricing here:



Fuel is pre-paid - you nominate amount - insert CC which is processed - fuel cuts off when you $ amt reached - if you 'over select' $ amt then your Cc will bill full amt and refund the 'gap' - some virtually instantly but others may take couple days.

I once bought fuel at the Crossroads Costco (Sydney) for 20c/L cheaper than my mum had paid at a regular station earlier that day.

For the Diesel I agree (cheapest price today is about 119.9cpl), however Perth has a fair number of stations selling 91 for under 109.7cpl today so it does pay to shop around.

The Woolies servo next to Costco at Majura Park (ACT) price matches when Costco is open and IKEA is opening across the road soon, yay Swedish meatballs!

Melbourne fuel prices are at the lower end of "the cycle".

The 91 price reflects that (local woolworths at Patto is currently $1.087 with 4cent discount).

Expect them to all be over $1.30 per litre within the week.

Costco Moorabbin now officially opened - servo has been flogging fuel at -10c/ltr or > for a month now and as it is only 5 mins from home I will fuel up here each week and do a quick recon of store most weeks - a few prices from yesterday to start - firstly fuel:

Costco opening in Adelaide is a major reason why Adelaide petrol stations have been forced to reduce their markups on petrol prices.

I agree Costco Alcohol Prices are pretty Damn good, and they accept AMEX with no surcharge.

Last year I was able to score a gift box of Crystal Head Vodka at Costco a few dollars cheaper than Aldi or Dan's.

I like that the champagne or wine is often a similar price to Dans, but in a pack that includes glasses. Good pressies.

I think we are checking out the Ringwood store this weekend as we are out of a few essentials. Will keep an eye out for good deals.
