Just received an email about this years shows, nice to see they have expanded the number of venues, but as usual, I'm underwhelmed with the number of airlines exhibitors is down to 1 (well the only one that I could find) - Air NZ. Exhibitor List | Corporate Travel Show

Established in 1992, the Corporate Travel Show is held once a year throughout Australia specifically for Corporate Travel Bookers.

Enjoy a grazing style lunch whilst meeting key corporate travel suppliers who have come together to help make your job a little less stressful and as a bonus they are all giving away great travel prizes!

The only reason I'd go to the BNE one is to see AFFérs and possibly I'd know the Air NZ rep (Michelle, you can't miss her hair).

MELBOURNE 12:30pm Thursday 11 July | Sofitel Melbourne on Collins
ADELAIDE 12:30pm Tuesday 23 July | Hilton Adelaide
PERTH 12:30pm Thursday 1 August | Crown Perth
CANBERRA 12:30pm Tuesday 13 August | QT Canberra
SYDNEY 12:30pm Thursday 15 August | Westin Sydney
BRISBANE 12:30pm Tuesday 27 August | Pullman King George Square

Register here: Corporate Travel Booker Registration | Corporate Travel Show

I’d like to catch up with any CBR people going there to QT. I didn’t actually receive an invitation this year though unless someone isn’t going and would like me to go for them. ;)

I have never been. Is it a sit down lunch? Or coughtail?

@penegal see my original post where I quoted them: “a grazing style lunch”. Think buffet

12:30 is probably a little early to start into the coughtails, unless you’re making an afternoon of it. I can’t see that happening- two tours of the stands and you’ll be over it.

I remember the good old days...

I seem to remember some squid coming out. That was very popular. Yes, it’s a stand-up plate affair.

The years of AY, QF and EK being at the event look long gone, so with the vast majority small hotels & boutiques will probably mean I’ll steer clear this week. Now if DoubleTree were there, I might make an effort.

I don’t do buffets, but will probably see you there to catch up and win the lucky door prize

I don't think I'll be attending this year @ALH . Not enough decent exhibitors.

Mmmmmm. I think you are right. I haven’t bothered for the last couple of years. They used to be really good.

The invitations are generic I believe, and whomever RSVPs puts their own name on it on chooses which city venue they are going to. So don’t worry about passing the invites on to your friends.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Stop me if I have told you this story before but years ago, QF had a big wheel and when you spin it, it would land on one of the many cities all over the world that QF flew to then. At the CBR show, only one person got the chance to spin and won a trip to ... SYD.:mad::(
In all the years that I have been going to the shows I have never ever won anything. Now I don’t even get an invite.

Yes, I remember that wheel of fortune. Don't recall if I ever got to spin it, but remember the current Qld GM standing beside it, giving away the envelopes to the lucky spinners.

Hang on, yes I did win something from an exhibitor - an overnight apartment stay in MEL

I have won heaps of accomodation and dinners, even a long weekend in Newcastle. Have given most of them away to family and friends (and here on AFF).
