Indeed, I get the impression Aussies are too busy emptying supermarket shelves to go on holiday!
cheers skip

Not at the supermarkets I frequent. And at Costco, when don't shoppers here have full trollies?

I think it is more that hand sanitiser has a run on.

It seems printers are the new panic purchase. Mine died so we headed to office works, only to find the shelves bare. JB and the Good Guys are similar. Hard to run a business with no printer....

I have stock at one of my wholesalers, if that's of use PM me and we'll see if that works for you.

Shudder to think how much e-waste there will be in a year or two....

YES! Ive been trying to buy a Epson for a couple of weeks and all out of stock - only because our old Epson no longer has genuine cartridges available and the printer keeps judging us/sending emails that we're not using genuine ink so we thought we would upgrade to newer that incudes multi page scanning and double sided printing but nothing is available. Our current printer is very old and basic and does the job but for $130-$160, we would have bought a new one.

And blenders - the blender (Sunbeam I think) I wanted isnt available until end of June.

Happened with a lot of office equipment, as people had to set up a home office in a hurry! Office chairs, monitors, etc were all in short supply for a bit...

I have a ten year old canon with an error we can’t fix, so I think it’s time....

I purchased a basic 14" HP laptop (8G RAM, 64GB 'drive') for $268 in October, it sports a 128GB XD card that cost a further $28.

Try getting anything like that for under $450 these days.

And a 28" monitor if trying to keep it under $300.

Was looking at new office chair but its $319 and I need to keep under $300 although I havent decided what method Im going to use to claim Y20 yet

An interesting item I've had to purchase for WFH during lock down is a HDMI to USB converter. My work computer is a Surface Pro and the power dock doesn't have a HDMI connector. By purchasing a new 24" screen I had the same set up at home (2 large screens and the Pro).

I had to go to JayCar to get it. They actually had a box of them, I reckon they were anticipating the rush. I've since got another one from Amazon.

Used to be an Epson tragic, but fed up with the number of apps one has to install with a new printer. Have moved on to Brother. Nice new one with double sided scanner (yea!) and normal double sided print. One App rules them all. Compatible cartridges are flagged as non genuine but work fine.

The other thing I've had trouble buying is the dual monitor stand.
They were finally back this week and now I see that Aldi has them for sale next Saturday.

Yes we were quizzed about panic buying in March when we were in London.

Ordered loo paper from Amazon on Monday and it arrived yesterday!

On the other hand, going to be waiting a while for my ordered printer to turn up.....
