Coles gift card offers

I loaded a partially used yellow $250 Coles Mastercard GC into my Paypal and made it my "preferred" card. A one-off payment to Amaysim and a recurring payment to SMH subscription ended up being charged to an Amex card also held on file. I'm not a gambler so this randomness is somewhat annoying.

Earn 1,500 bonus Flybuys points on $100 and $250 Vanilla Visa gift cards in-store at Coles. These gift cards can be spent almost anywhere Visa is accepted.

If you bought five of the $100 Visa gift cards, you would earn a total of 8,000 Flybuys points (worth $40 or convertible to 4,000 Velocity points) for $29.75 in purchase fees.

Here are the details:

Runs from Wed 11 Feb to Tue 17 Feb 2026
Only available in-store at Coles
Limit of five gift cards per Flybuys account
$5.95 fee on $100 card, $7.50 fee on $250 card
Excludes Birthday and Thank You Visa gift cards
This offer is open to everyone and does not require activation
Points are usually credited in 1-3 days

In saying that, Coles have done this before, but then still offered 2,000 points with the other Mastercards

But the more people that take up this deal, the more likely it is that future offers are 1,000 or 1,500 or not at all.

Like the variable load woolies cards at 10x points for $500 that haven't been round for ages now :(

Its a better offer than the current woolies one.
I'll probably bite at the $100 but wouldnt make a specisl.journey.
$5.95 for 750 VF plus the little extra from Edge is viable IMO. I can't imagine that boycotting is going to improve the offer.
(I'd have porbably bought some $250s if the old Canberra liquidation method was a goer as BAS coming up)

Please don't buy them
