Of course, this is distinct from an any-seat award where they can be earned.

Usually if there is award J available on a given flight, the J any seat award (JASA) can be got for only 10-15% more points - a difference which depending on your status will be almost fully earned back when you take the flights! Plus you get full J SCs for each sector. Am going to be cracking SG for the first time this coming year thanks to JASAs
