Hi,

My and my wife flew QR MEL-DOH one way unfortunately in whY last month and we made doubly sure that our AAdvantage numbers were on our booking (made at a travel agent) as well as confirming and handing our membership cards at check-in and told the agent to ensure that the numbers were there and he confirmed that they were. I purposely paid a touch more to travel in M class which is supposed to give us AA miles at 75% which worked out to be around 5700 miles each.

Its now been four weeks and still the miles have not posted. Foolishly I did not keep a hold of the boarding passes. Is there any chance for me to get those miles posted ? Do I just call AA customer service and plead my case lol ? How about if I show them the e-ticket that the travel agent gave me ?

Thanks, would appreciate any thoughts/comments/feedback

Note that if you click on the question mark, this comes up.. so depending on your travel date, you may need to wait until it becomes 30 days.

  • Please allow up 10 days for American Airlines, American Eagle, or American Connection travel to be posted to your account.
  • Please allow up to 30 days for partner airline travel to be posted to your account.

FWIW I have used this online method successfully with QF flights (past 30 days, mind you) by putting in the details and not requiring scans or PDFs of the BPs.

Ok guys thanks for your help it is now passed 30 days so I'm trying to use the link provided.
All I have is the e-ticket number.
Can someone please advise what the "airline code" for QR is ?
The airline code is usually the first three numbers of the e-ticket number isn't it?
Actually is the e-ticket number even the same as the ticket number ?

Thanks

Actually I think I've worked it out.
The character limit on the ticket number (10) meant that the first three digits have to be the ticket number, which is 157.

Thanks all. I'll let you know how I go with this. How many days from submitting this online form before miles hit your account ?

You may have to persist with this one, this flight is outside of the core flights which the crediting staff easily understand, it took me three attempts online and 2 phone calls to get the AY flight Helsinki to Oulu credited to my AA account.

I filled in the online form and shortly after that AA sent me an email saying they have received my claim and will now confirm/validate it with the airline and for me to give them 30 days. Its been about 15 days so we'll see. But yeh I found with AA its all good when it works. But when something goes wrong its a battle. I had to cancel an EY F flight a few months ago and it took me four phone calls and about eight weeks to finally get the points re-instated.
