Does nothing happen after you fill everything out and click 'Continue'? i just get a blank web browser and this link, https://www.citibank.com.au/AUGCB/ICARD/appnew/getEntry1.do

and that's it... nothing?? should i try again?

That happened to me the first time I applied.

Your application will not progress...I heard nothing after several days. I called up to see if there was any record, but found it impossible to explain the situation to the customer service rep who didn't even attempt to see if there was a live application and just wanted to start a new one over the phone. If it has been received you would receive an automated email response with your reference number.

i wonder whether or not its too late to get the 60k point offer still if i apply today since it says you must apply before may 31st or should i play it safe and apply for the 50k offer via the qantas website since it ends on june 30th ?

also ref the annual Citibank 60k offer ( code PDW3B2CA ( Reduced Fee $ 125.00 ) in the terms it has no end date . is this a targeted offer or can anyone apply quoting this code? its says that existing citibank customers arent eligible in the terms. do they mean all citibank credit card holders or just the ones that have already had a citibank platinum card?

i have a gold no annual fee card for life that has a pre-approved upgrade offer in my offer tabs when i log in to citibank but says i in the fine print that need i to pay a $250 annual fee so i think it best that i make a new application so that i can try and get the bonus 60k points if at all its possible.?

can any existing citibank credit card holders that have applied for the 60k offer confirm whether or not they got their 60k points and which url offer they applied for?
I'm an existing gold card holder and I got the points via the code PDW3B2CA link posted earlier.

update , i called up and they said that the code PDW3B2CA is still valid and the first year fee is waived and you still get 60k points so i applied for it. i got this stupid automatic email from them to send in proof of ID and proof of income etc. can anyone confirm if existing citibank credit card customers need to send in this stuff too? you would think that being existing customer they would have you already on file.?

Is this offer still valid today now that 31 May has passed?

I have seen it happen before, i think it is because you left the application sitting for too long.

There is nothing in the conditions which say you need to apply before may 31

When I applied for this card I did it over the phone and the rep led me to believe that the $49 QFF fee included the QFF membership fee.
As I wasn't a QFF member yet I thought this was a good deal.

Suffice to say, several weeks later I find I'm not enrolled in QFF and nobody seems to know what went wrong. I've asked them to review the audio recording but I'm still waiting for them to get back to me.

They have credited 50,000 citi rewards points to my account, but I thought it was supposed to be 60,000?

I can't seem to find anyone in citibank who knows what the offers at the time were...

So, got the card and followed the QF procedure. I didn't see the confirmation on the online summary of being enrolled in Qantas rewards several days later, so rang them to confirm. I was told that I was indeed in the program. Based on that I went ahead and spent at about 5 pm that day. At about 3 am that night, my enrollment appears on the website. I then have 60041 points showing in citibank.

My first statement date just passed and 4211 points were transferred to Qantas, leaving exactly 60000 left behind. I rang citi and the operator agreed that looked like a problem and that he would speak to his supervisor and fix it within about three days. Having had no call from a supervisor or any citi employee I today rang them back to query it. This gentleman told me that the transfer would take place up to six weeks after the bonus points were applied. Has anyone heard of that? He is sending me a letter with those conditions so I can check it out. Anyway, I guess I wait a month until my next statement date to confirm it.

The good thing is that no operator has tried to tell me that they are citi rewards points and not citi Qantas rewards points so I'm hopeful it will all go to plan. Also, if I was not enrolled on my first spend then 60000+ would have been left behind I believe.

I followed the process to the letter and the 60k reward points remained in my account and a few hundred were transferred to QF. Lodged complaint by email and got call back the next day to apologise and confirm points will transfer to QF at next monthly transfer.

Also talked them in to the 15 month balance transfer at 1.9% they are offering other new customers on the gold card. Have cleared the current citibank balance and put the card in the drawer never to be used again. Have transferred a little below my credit limit to my other credit card and put it into positive balance, will withdraw the cash down to a zero balance then put it in the mortgage offset for 15 months so excellent result from Citibank.

how kind are citibank about confirming a plat Visa after i just churned the previous QF special of 50k points? Whats the likelyhood of them approving this one.

Cancelled the last card about a month ago.

Terms and conditions wise I'd say no chance...they best you could hope for is that incompetence on their part gets you the second offer, and as it's Citi we're talking about, chances are high! :p

ive already got the points from the last offer way back in january. just wondering if its worth doing this one and churning it, or giving it a few more months (im going OS till september) and seeing what offers are valid then.

I had this same issue despite following the process to the letter so gave Citibank a call.

Apparently they will need to get "back office" to investigate this and have advised that it will take 5-7 business days for the 60K points to post to QFF.

Frustrating since there is award availability for the flights I am looking to book. But then this same thing happened with bonus points posting with an AMEX card so it's not the first time.

60k posted to QFF in a separate transaction but at the same time as the first months points, on the day of monthly billing for me. One happy camper here!

Hope the others having success getting their 60k.

CitiBusiness Gold update

After 3 succesive knock backs for Citibank Platrinum Visa I recently received a targeted CitiBusiness Gold application form in the mail which I duly completed and sent off.

Lo and behold this time I get accepted and received card in mail yesterday.

A couple of points I would like to highlight:

1. I emailed a copy of the completed application form to my accountant before sending off to Citibank - it wasn't difficult for him to substantiate all info I had included - some of which may or may not have been 100% accurate.

2. I was standing alongside my #1 man in my company when he took the call from Citibank to substantiate my 'income' level internally.

3. Indeed the CitiBusiness comes with an 80,000 annual point / year cap - at 1.25pts / $1 spend = total point earning spend of $64,000 annually - I will exhaust that in first 2 months - but then hopefully I can convince them to upgrade me to Citi Platinum if not Citi Select.

4. Op I spoke to did confirm I will earn 40,000 bonus Reward points at first spend - earn rate on spend is 1.25pts - reward points can be transferred to QFF, Velocity or Kris Flyer. Transfer rate to QFF is 1:1 = 1.25QFF pt / $1 spend up to $64,000 - transfer rate to KF 1.5:1 = 0.83KF pt / $1 spend up to $64,000.

5. No need to opt in etc to QF program - just supply existing QFF and KF numbers and you are set to go - transfers can only be affected on phone with op - transfer in blocks of 10,000 to QFF and blocks of 50,000 to KF.

I know this is prolly boring most but I also know a few others are / were in the same boat as me - Citi just don't appear to like self employed so I hope this info helps some of you guys.

Congratulations from a fellow sole trader (self employed)...

Was worth the effort for you in the long run, I do not have the time to play silly games with this mob, bonus points or not... Perhaps one day I will change my mind
