Citi cards become myCard - no more CX, KF, EY, QR from 16/11/25

Oh I see, I was referring to the dot point #14. It looks like all the bonus points have the same T&C with that same line. Credit cards | Rewards, low rate or no annual fee options - MyCard
I'm late in responding but it was in response to your quote "This offer is not available when closing or transferring from another MyCard branded credit card account or in conjunction with any other MyCard branded credit card offer." Which you sent on the 31/12/25. That blurb was under the BT banner.

But as usual the wording on mycard seems to suggest it's like Citi. I would wait 5-6 months after closure to reapply the Premier. I've personally have applied for a Prestige while holding a FFFL Premier (did it 3 years ago), and also applied for a new Premier (while holding FFFL) and got both Prestige and Premier bonuses.

I am not reading it like a hard exclusion as with other banks - NAB for example is extremely clear about it

> Bonus points are not available to customers who currently hold, or have held, any personal NAB Qantas Rewards Credit Card in the last 24 months

the myCard wording reads more like they discourage it when jumping between products ie close premier -> open prestige

Under the old regime there was no lockout period but if you tried to reopen a card within a few months of closing the one you’d get an automatic rejection.

Just by the bye, how stupid do you have to be to contact a company and check that a loophole you plan to exploit is legit?

This was my experience with Citi and I suspect it would be the same here. You’re eligible if you apply again within a few months but you’ll probably be rejected.

I closed the Citi Premier in December 2024 and applied for the Citi Prestige just 13 days later and got approved and received the bonus points.
