Christmas Bonus Of Up To 10,000 Velocity Points (2018)

Only got 5k despite spending at 5 partners. I made two purchases at Autobarn on two different days and swiped my card both times. Both receipts show nothing about VFF down the bottom.

I'm in exactly the same situation except both my receipts did show my Velocity membership number and points earned. I submitted the online contact form to Autobarn and they have since credited the points manually. So I've now escalated the shortfall in bonus points to Velocity who will advise the outcome of my claim in the next 3 to 5 days...

By the way, what was your 5th missing partner?
 
Hmmm, my in-laws, who signed up during the promotion, still have not received their bonus points, and all 5 of their accounts are now suspended, as is mine.I presume Velocity suspect they are fake accounts which I created.

I did setup the accounts (all using one email address), however they are real people who gave me their permission to do so, and have flight bookings under their accounts for later this year. Anyone else in a similar spot?

On a side note, there has been no activity I can think of which should link their accounts to mine other than logins from the same device, and seating on future flights, so I’m somewhat impressed Virgin have made the link...

Flybuys, Wilson Parking, BP, Velocity estore and Autobarn. All others went through without a problem and points credited

Had exactly the same thing: Autobarn didn’t get credited. Only received 5K.
 
Still waiting on Mrs H and Master H - real people who share my e-mail address for these purposes. Have contacted Velocity through their online form but no response yet.
 
My parents, who joined during the promo and did the transactions late in the game, have just received 10k each.
 
So the reason Velocity has given for the non award of points to Mrs H and Master H:

I understand that you wish to be included in the promotion but after checking your account, I found that you were not able to activate the offer.

With requests like yours, we have to abide by the promotions Terms and Conditions, which ensure all our members are treated equally and fairly. In this instance, the promotion requires the following conditions:

(1) Activate the offer through the activation link contained in the promotion email within the promo period
(2) Earn Velocity Points between 20 November 2018 and 08 January 2019 (Activity Date) with three (3) or more Participating Partners.

Im sorry but as the offer was not activated, Im unable to include your transactions and account in the Christmas bonus promotion.

I can't assist with original promotion information, but I can confirm that I never activated via any email. I activated via my velocity account and have been awarded the points.

Seems like a loophole for them to get out of paying the points for new members who became velocity members after the promotion was promoted.

I do understand their position as some people will take advantage by signing up everyone they know, plus their pets for good measure.

Can report the same experience. Myself, Mrs NoName & NoName Jnr all activated through the My Velocity section of the website. All have received the bonus.

How long did it take them to reply to you? I submitted a requested via their contact form a few days ago but have not heard from them and points still not credited.
 
I am now being asked for screenshots to prove I activated the offer which obviously I don't have. This really isn't reasonable. If you run a promotion you should honour it. Especially irritating when I had to send screenshots and multiple emails to get the surprise bonus a couple of weeks ago.

I received an initial reply from a "Michael" in the Autobarn Online Team 12 days after I submitted the online contact form.
