Been a while since i flew an A333 Skybed Mk1 seat

If I recall charging my Macbook Pro 17" from the seat didn't work before

Can others advise please

Maybe if the seat won't charge my macknook pro I can use my iPhone 6 to do the job???

What's the rating if the charger, needs to be 75w ore less.

In order to assure the safety of all users of this service, the available power is limited by Airworthiness Regulations. The PC power is configured to provide a maximum of output of 75 watts. If the limit is exceeded by a user, which is possible on new version PCs the power to the user will be interrupted and can only be reset on the ground.

The power I just checked is 85 watts. So will trip the seat power. Bummer
I have a mackbook air which will be less that may work and keep the laptop going

All MacBook pros for the last few years use an 85 watts source

What do others have experience with?
I have had no problems with it working on QF A380 F class

If the battery is fully charged, then I doubt the power drain will approach that 75 watts.

Other than that I have seen reference to removing the battery (can that be done with a 'pro?).

No batteries on Modern MacBooks are all internal
But I think the key is to use when watching my movie before power drains so charger doesn't need to drag 85 watts from low battery

Even with a fully charged laptop it still tripped the Skybrd seat mark 1

Was the same on refit 747 in J to NRT on Skybed mark 2

Guess I'll just have to fly F on the A380 to recharge the laptop but even with the IFE content on 23 inch screen I'd rather have my ow movies

I thought that might be the case, with power factor correction supplies they will still draw at rated max initially, despite the state of the laptop.
