Welcome to Cathay Pacific 747 First Class…
It might seem quiet blasé to say it, but once you travel 747 First with Cathay, it’s hard to go back to Qantas 747 First.
SPACE
The first thing that you notice, as you turn left, is how many fewer seats there are in the Cathay nose cone, when compared to the positively cramped Qantas cabin.
PRIVACY
Another immediate thought, as you move toward your seat, is the fantastic privacy Cathay affords its First Class passengers when compared to Qantas 747 First.
And if you like travelling in row 1, you notice the absolute bonus of; no potential for foot traffic to the forward wardrobe, because there isn’t one! (Just enough passenger storage for the front row customers only.)
So, here’s a pictorial guide the to A section on a CX 747, and we start (of course) at 1A…
1A – your private sanctuary
1A – the view forward out your windows
1A – looking back as you sit down
1A – introducing your seat and upper headrest
1A – the lower seat base (with a fold down arm rest, concealed behind the extra-width-seat-back, on the left of picture)

1A – foot rest, and extra width foot-rest/bed extension (which can be deployed/operated separately to the main leg rest)
