Anyone else seen this?

Can't change an Economy X seat online?

VA Platinum. Booked through CTM, auto-allocated 3D and 3C - which I'd normally be happy about, but preference in these COVID times is 3A or 3F - both of which are free.

Try to change online - shows me 3A is free, allows me to click on it, pops up a message (showing both text and image to assist people searching or with screen readers)

3A - Window

Economy X

and a button to select the seat, and when I click on it, get the following error:

Same, happens for bookings made directly with VA too, not just travel agent/CC redemption bookings. Been this way for months now... very annoying given how much longer it takes to call them recently.
 
Spent 30 minutes on hold this morning before dropping off for a meeting. Very annoying.
 
Yes please - could someone tell Bain that its no longer 1994 and people expect to be able to pay for seat selection and/or upgrades online and not wait on the phone?

Pre Covid-19 I was able to change a normal Y seat for and Economy X seat and pay for it online, on the VA website when managing the booking..
