I booked some [M]ASA tickets before the booking engine changes which took them offline. This particular ticket was changed once during the "phone up" phase of the [M]ASA-gate affair. It has now become apparent that I probably can't use this ticket as I will not be allowed to take the required time off work. As such I need to change it (e.g. rebook), or cancel & refund.
My questions:
Option A: Rebook (shorten the trip or change dates entirely)
1 -- Is this even possible as the ticket type doesn't exist any more?
2 -- What happens to the points and SC earn?
Option B: Cancel and refund
3 -- Can I get a full refund? Is this based on my initial purchase of the ticket?
(I paid about a few hundred thousand points, and approx. $1K cash). It is my understanding that at the time of booking this ticket carried the same terms as a regular ticket (that is, no cancellation penalty, and fully flexible and fully refundable.). I am not sure if this "changed" when it was rebooked, as it was done over the phone, although the agent at the time said everything was the same. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
