Can I use my AMEX Velocity Platinum card to access Delta Sky Clubs?

Hi all,

The hubby and I are travelling SYD-LAX-JFK return in June this year and I was wondering whether anyone knew/ had any experience with whether you can access the Delta Sky Club lounges with the Velocity platinum AMEX? I know what lounge access is available in Aus for the card and that both the AMEX Platinum and co-branded AMEX Platinum Delta Sky Miles cards allow access to Sky Club, but I can’t find anything about whether the Velocity card will.

Hi Jennybel75, welcome to the forum.

As far as I am aware, the Velocity Platinum AMEX card only provides 2 entries to domestic Virgin Australia lounges (when flying on VA), and 2 entries to the Sydney international AMEX lounge per membership year.

I don't like the fact that AMEX use 'AMEX Platinum' terminology for some benefits, as it's never clear which 'platinums' are included, especially internationally.

Unfortunately, the card will only get you two annual visits into a Virgin Australia domestic lounge 2 hours prior to flight departure (dunno if they actually enforce the timed entry).
