As mentioned in the previous Brisbane drinks thread there is a drinks night in Brisbane on Wednesday, 17 March 2010 ~5:30pm.

The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

Hope to see everyone there....

Unfortunately, I am likely to be in PER (catching up with straitman & mrs straitman), so I'm a non-starter.

I am a definite for the next drinks night on the 17th.

It's something to look forward to now.

I'm sure they serve it...as I hope the PER Hilton will as well. And yes, I'll be waering a green shirt on the day...

Wait Wait Wait… March 17th?

Isn’t that St. Paddy’s Day?

I need Guinness!!
Is there some posts missing from this thread? I am sure I replied to this post. Apparently The Mill will have Guinness in cans.

Anyway looking forward to seeing everyone there....

Enjoy the drinks guys, I'll be thinking of you from the Adelaide Business Lounge then QF766 ADL/SYD 5.45pm - will see what the BL has in the way of Guiness or Green Beer and raise the can to you....

Maybe it was discussed in a different thread, such as the OTT. Either way, might come up a little earlier and find an Irish pub in the city for a pint of the black stuff, before heading up. The cans are always a slightly different flavour.

I’ve got a Guinness hat here too, from last year, so might bring that along.

Let me know if you come up to Brisbane earlier. I may join you for a drink esarlier if you go to one of the those backpacker drinking joints....

Probably wouldn’t go to a backpackers, but one of the actual Irish pubs in the city, nearest one to The Mill area I guess. Depends on the weather too, if it’s pissing down, I’d be less likely to want to take a side trip from the station :p

The Guinness Pint Finder is a useful tool (though not very accurate) :D

The closest looks to be O’Malleys in Queen Street mall.

It would be good to have you along tuppaware if you can make it.

What is wrong with backpacker joints? I don't know about some of you southerners sometimes. :p

Sounds good. I may go to work early that day and leave around 3:30pm....

A couple pints of Guinness would be good, I’ll still wait and see what the weather decides to do :p but I’ll more than likely see you there, depending on what train I can catch too of course ;)

I will bring my umbrella along if it rains. ;)

Is it allright if I don't drink Guinness? :p

Why don't you just go to Irish Murphy's near the casino for a pint!

I come in on the train, The Mill is just up the road from Roma Street or Central stations, so I don’t want to have to walk too far for a pint :p

I suppose there is Kilkenny, or Bulmers if you’re a cider man :)
