Brisbane drinks 17 March 2010

As mentioned in the previous Brisbane drinks thread there is a drinks night in Brisbane on Wednesday, 17 March 2010 ~5:30pm.

The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

Is there some posts missing from this thread? I am sure I replied to this post. Apparently The Mill will have Guinness in cans.

Anyway looking forward to seeing everyone there....

Maybe it was discussed in a different thread, such as the OTT. Either way, might come up a little earlier and find an Irish pub in the city for a pint of the black stuff, before heading up. The cans are always a slightly different flavour.

I’ve got a Guinness hat here too, from last year, so might bring that along.

Probably wouldn’t go to a backpackers, but one of the actual Irish pubs in the city, nearest one to The Mill area I guess. Depends on the weather too, if it’s pissing down, I’d be less likely to want to take a side trip from the station

The Guinness Pint Finder is a useful tool (though not very accurate)

What is wrong with backpacker joints? I don't know about some of you southerners sometimes.

A couple pints of Guinness would be good, I’ll still wait and see what the weather decides to do but I’ll more than likely see you there, depending on what train I can catch too of course

I come in on the train, The Mill is just up the road from Roma Street or Central stations, so I don’t want to have to walk too far for a pint

Not as Guinness or cider? Kilkenny maybe, but I don’t drink that, only the black stuff for me!
