I will hope that it coincides with our trip planned for his time next year.

Just finished reading posts 889 to 1181 someone told me I didn't have to read them because I was there, but come on which AFF'er would not read all and am glad I did.

Thanks BR for everything had a fantastic time if that was not your normal self you sure fool a lot of us. It was disappointing to hear some people not contributing their share.

It was great putting faces and names to handles and especially happy to have met you.

Conversations, meals, drinks and AKL what can I say - great - fantastic - awesome. Have to thank Simo and Steptoe for allowing me to be their +1 for Hilton breckie - my DJ diamond wasn't processed before I left.

Pumbaa message to +1 If she is thinking of disposing of LV I'm happy to adopt. LOL

Look forward to CPH if date suit.

Again thanks to everyone for make a great weekend.

No worries Heleigh, I'll let her know :) Sorry we didn't get a chance to say a proper goodbye yesterday, my +1 started looking at some of the clothing stores and time just flew bye!

I've managed to upload all the photos of the lunch to Flickr (got an account today) and the dinner photos are uploading now. Please PM your details Heleigh and I'll post the photos to you later next week :)

As this great weekend comes to a close I/we would also like to personally thank bossreggie for getting it all together for all us. :D :D

Here's hoping you get back to full health as soon as possible.

Sue and I will certainly try for CPH next year.

A reminder from the weekend for those who have not yet paid ‘the boss’ for the meal to please do so ASAP. There were also a few who did not pay for the lunch wine have then consumed same. BR has been billed for it so let’s all do the right thing and ensure that he is not out of pocket.

If anyone is in doubt then please go back to Post #136 from Lindsay Wilson.

Like others have expressed I'm seriously disappointed that several of the attendees on the weekend thought it appropriate to pay for the lunch only option and then accept alcohol throughout the meal.

There are no degrees of integrity in life, either you're all in or you're all out and either you have integrity or you don't, it's as simple as that.

It's not for BossReggie or anyone else to make up the short fall caused by those who saw fit to take advantage of his generosity.

Please do the right thing and stump up the cash if you drank at the lunch, I'd have to see a few bad eggs ruin it for everyone.

Might I add I don't know who did or didn't take advantage of his generosity but god help those who did if I ever do!

Just looked through. Great pics thank you Pumbaa!!

I could hear the voices, the chink of glasses & cutlery, the laughter ... the oohs & aahs .. The expectant hush before Eugene spoke to us about the next lovely samplings he had for us ... Could feel the ambience .. the warmth of the companionship & conversations, the dancing taste buds both in anticipation & then the moment before tasting ... And then the mouthfeel of the different dishes, and the moment of the taste coming through, either a slow pleasure or bursting in exuberantly like the wasabi caviar ... and the paired wines', the bouquet, the feel & flavour, both immediate and lingering.. And you caught the perpetual movement of the staff in the kitchen & around us, all for the love of this food.

Can hardly wait for the next one.

And the Pinot Noir for Lindsay.

Shh! We're keeping the year a secret. You'll just have to go over & try a few Lindsay ;)

Simo & I both particularly enjoyed this one. Luckily they still had some in stock on Sunday night when 15 of us went in for a last meal so I no longer begrudge Simo his extra top up :D

Look forward to trying the wines at BR-Lunch 2.0 in CPH, will be over and done with my 2012 alcohol free year goal by then.

I can guest someone into AKL Qantas lounge until 3pm. Thankyou to everyone I met at dinner and lunch. This has been a great weekend. Bossreggie did a fantastic job organizing and seeing this through to the end despite numerous hurdles. Bravo. Looking forward to CPH

Hey ALH, great 1st post! Welcome to AFF too :p

I don't know what a "booked out restaurant" is! Ha-ha.

It's certainly never happened to me. I liked the fact that I was offered "inside or out" after a call from Storyteller asking if I could help. It was a little awkward to arrive before the group, and see diners being moved so we could have the premium spot.

I must say I personally enjoyed the couple of extra courses from the chef though.

All in all.... And despite the fact there were a couple of "financial issues" and a near death experience.....I enjoyed myself. I met some people for the first time and some I had met before. Thinking back to Brisbane drinks night, where this all started.... Most people there on the night attended.

I'm looking forward to Noma..... For those attendees...... You will see my treatment there is pretty much the same I receive at Euro. Even though I pay using cash!! :)

Boss

We really did try leave the Hilton bar a few minutes after talking to you, but you must have had your taxi driver on jet fuel!! Best to not see the crestfallen faces of those displaced for us! ( I guess if they weren't ok to move we could have sat where we did on Saturday or outside with a few braziers going....)

And yes, what a treat, Euro gave us 2 extra little courses - are we spoiled?!! Or was it 3 extras? Can anyone remember??

So eloquent with your words... I think you should do a TR :D
