We are going to be in Oz next May. We need to fly SYD-MEL-SYD for a wedding. Qantas currently has $99 for one-way. Not sure if we should book now, or wait a few more months? Will the $99 come back? Or, if we wait we will likely have to pay $109 or $119? Thanks!

MY personal rule is always book now if its meets your price point.

That's about as cheap as it gets, just remember to buy a gift voucher or two first to get the extra points if you a QFF member and avoid the credit card surcharge.

THANK YOU, everyone, for your replies :) - much appreciated.

Have booked the flights - just squeaked $99 oneway (now it is $155 oneway for same flights). Thanks, markis10, for your tip. However, I was in a hurry to do the booking before running late to a doctor's appointment - so no time to buy gifts etc - had to pay $14 using credit card for payment. Will remember that next time!
