Bonus VA status credits offer - March 2024

It's probably just a simple script that runs through everything for everyone and determine how many SC to post. It's probably not the best in terms of efficiency so they probably decided to do it in batches/rate limit or only run it at night when the load on the reservation system was low. It's probably a luck of the draw on which batch your account got placed into.

Yeah you're probably right. It's just a bit frustrating as I've already missed out of EconX upgrades for 4 flights, and I have flights from last week waiting on SC too. Those flights would get me back on plat without the bonus SC. Never waited over a week for flight SC, so it's really annoying timing.

I did 7 or 8 flights in the promo - stopped counting when I passed the maximum 6 haha

I was wondering if I would get the 125 SC for 6+ flights or if a bug/mistake got some bonus for the extra flights (like extra 20SC for each flight over 6).

My heart skipped a beat that I got 200 Status credits credited to my account yesterday morning that I got a bonus 75 by mistake - but turns out that was a seperate promo for the choose your bonus (30,000 points or 200 status credits) for a credit card application with description on my velocity statement "All in campaign Feb 24 200 Status Credits"

So still waiting on my 125 SC from this bonus.

It's funny with reattaining platinum I either just scrape in the last week or two some years, or attain it in the first 6 months of my membership year. Heading for the later at this stage with these two promos.

Mine fiiiiinally posted this afternoon. 125SC for the 7 segments.

Though annoyingly it's starting the 800 credits to renew from zero and changed my review date to today (though back dates the SC), so I miss out on SC from all this months flying and didn't get any of the benefits. Will call on Monday to resolve.

I've sent a missing status credits message. If enough of us do that then VA may get the idea that we expect our SC's to be credited in the timeframe they set for the promo.

The Max 125 status credits posted for me overnight with an activity date of 29 March and description "back to business"

Came in tonight as well. It was never going to make a difference for me, but pretty poor showing overall.

I’m a bit miffed by this promo. I booked four journeys with 8 flights. Another VA forum I’m in had several people share that they were told that the bonuses were based on sectors flown.

Wake up this morning to the bare minimum 45. Had I got my full allocation, I’d be Gold. Now I’m eyeing off an expensive status run to get there before my next points expire. 🤬🤬🤬

It is based on sector flown. I’ve got 2 round trip with 4 flights in total and that got me the 85 SC I expected. You either got allocated incorrect number of SC or some of your flights weren’t eligible for a different reason. I’ve also got flights ticketed before the promotion started and they didn’t count as I expected.

Double check when your tickets were purchased. The flights need to be ticketed and flown during the promotion - tickets purchased before the promotion started won’t count. Also I imagine the normal exclusions to group/non-retail fare will apply.

If you are sure your flights were eligible call up Velocity and ask them to investigate.

Will do 100%. All my bookings were done within the promotion period and flown in the promotion period too. They were operated by Alliance, but still booked through VA.

I did 7 sector's over two journeys and got the max SC. Definitely give velocity a call.

The promo had many shortfalls though. SC posted a month after the promo ended is one of them. I'm at 1105 SC, but because the promo posted so late, I only needed 20 SC. The 105 SC over count for nothing. My April flights count for nothing. The old double SC promotional bonuses posted as you flew, so you'd never end up flushing away 100+ SC.

Checked yesterday and saw that the full compliment had landed. Not that I need them but they posted in my new qualifying period.

As a side note I signed up to the double points for business program and flew 2 sectors in the last few days and the bonus points arrived at the same time as the regular points which was about 30 minutes after landing for both flights.

But that Activity Date is still Mar 29 right?
