Flying the Android Alien flag here people...

Sorry, I just could not join the iphone flock, and for me the android is a close match...! :p

I'd really like a QFF app for my BB.

And those wanting to upgrade their 9700s to OS6, I've upgraded mine and it's a bit slow and sluggish at times. The OS also takes up more space so there's less room for apps, and with BB for whatever reason you can't install the apps on the memory card.

@admin please make a new BB app for AFF ... Please !!!!!!! Please

It was interesting to see that One World and Dragon Air both have pretty decent BB Apps :)

they work well , just wishing they were a bit faster , and I so wish Telstra had BB OS 6 for the 9100

PLEASE VOTE - IT WILL PROVIDE BETTER STATISTICS FOR THE ADMIN , TO MAKE NEW IMPROVEMENTS SUCH AS A NEW BB APP FOR AFF.

I'd be happy with an App but would also be very happy with a mobile website that can be viewed on the BB Browser...

I very rarely have time to look at AFF on my computer and when I'm out and about and get a notification email from AFF it really frustrates me knowing that if I click the link it will take ages to load and include lots of zooming and scrolling...

Thanks for your feedback. I can confirm that our Mobile Mode doesn't work with the BlackBerry 5 OS browser. vBulletin, the software provider, is aware of this issue ([#VBIV-11004] Mobile Style - Lack of support for BlackBerry Browsers and other non 'WebKit' browsers - vBulletin JIRA) and I'm hoping that it will be addressed soon. For BlackBerry users who wish to use the Mobile Mode, you will need to use the Opera browser. I do realise that this is not an option for some, and apologise.

Mobile Mode should work on all other smart phones including the iPhone, Andriod and Symbian devices.

I'd also like to thank anat0l and NM for the assistance they provided in identifying the issues.

We are currently investigation options for a Mobile Mode which can be used on a Blackberry. I'm wondering how many of our BlackBerry users use the standard BlackBerry 5 OS browser versus the Opera browser.

I'd appreciate it if you could PM me (or post on this thread, if you prefer):
1. What browser you use (standard BB or Opera)
2. If standard BB, you would consider moving to Opera to view AFF.

The reason for this is that it seems as though our new MobileMode doesn't currently render on the BlackBerry 5 OS browser (but it does on Opera and other Smart Phones) and I'm how many members this will impact.

Can't really vote as I have none of those. (FWIW, I have not been able to use AFF in mobile mode since the demise of vBulletin 3 :(.)

I may get a Samsung Galaxy S ii when thay come available ... so Android ...

While I don't disagree with the poll, I am not sure how accurate it is given that the Poll is headed 'Blackberry App'

@admin , is it possible to make the poll on this thread a public poll , whenever any user / member who visits AFF gets to vote and you can get a definite statistic of how many people using AFF are on BlackBerry OS , hence providing enough reason to either come up with a BlackBerry App or Support / Compatibility with the BlackBerry Browser.

Please advise

There should be no need to make the poll public - some simple analytics of the web server logs will reveal the browsers that are accessing the site.

Thanks , did not know that - do moderators have access to that information ?

Will that data be enough motivation for the admin / owner to make a new BB AFF App. / Introduce BB Browser Compatibility ?

Admins certainly does. I doubt the mods do. Aside from that, it don't think it's a mtter of Admin introducing anything new beyond the version of vBulletin that supports the BB browser. Admin stated that it is a known issue for vBulletin. From previous posts, that is the hold up now, not aything that AFF can do - Admin is waiting on vBulletin to resolve the issue.

The moderators don’t need to see the information, only admin does…

As for a timeline, it took a while for the original iOS app to be released, so be patient?

Well I am not after a timeline , but it would be great to know if the work has begun towards a BB AFF App. It 's just me a curious individual.

Just out of curiosity here, if AFF were to release a BlackBerry app, would you purchase a Gold/Silver membership to the site (or do you have one already)? As currently that’s the requirement to use the iOS app, and as a regular member the way I usually tell who has paid up and who hasn’t is by looking at their signature ;)

I already am a gold member !! I was happy with the IOS App till I surrendered my iPhone to low network coverage and changed teams to BlackBerry !!! :)

Is there anyone else who is a Gold / Silver Member who wants a BB AFF App ?

Is there anyone else who will sign up as a Gold / Silver Member if AFF comes up with a AFF BB App ? :?::?::?::?::?::?::?::?::?:

Please Vote :- Your vote will count towards a new AFF BB App. :)

Why do you think you need a BB App rather than just compatability with the mobile interface? I use a Symbian phone and I am not wanting a app for AFF - the mobile interface works just fine for me... I would expect that you will get that before you get a dedicated app for vBulletin.
